I liked figuring everything out and was rewarding when finishing it. I wished the feedback was more immediate though, felt like a big delay when the generator overloaded or make it so the generator has to be overloaded for a couple seconds to then shut down everything. But quite fun to play, well done!

Thanks for the response, glad to hear you saved the world. Also glad to see that someone got to see the rocket launch which, actually gave me greater satisfaction than I expected. The audible delay on the generator sound change was purposeful, as in real life overload happen really quickly. I did not implement a visual feedback on the generator due to time, which then made a delay on the generator overload difficult to implement as the player had no real way to know they were overloaded. It might make it's way into the game in a later version. So glad there was a sense of reward. Job done!

Really glad you felt the pressure. All the sound design was specifically there to try and increase that pressure, glad it worked. Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it.

The aesthetic is great and the story is interesting, but I have no idea how to actually get these in the right order. I just keep getting a generator overload even though I'm pretty sure I'm following the note properly. Regardless, great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Sorry the generator caught you. Seems it has been a tough mechanic for people to overcome.

I thought the vibe was really cool and the concept was definitely very interesting. I did however, feel like it was difficult to know what the order of things to do was and where my generator power level was. Maybe a few more UI elements could have helped to point that out. I did like though that it seemed there was a reward for not having lights on to do the job. I think that memorization level is a cool mechanic.

The setting was really well done, I liked the art and the water dripping really set the mood of how quiet it was.

I did find the game a bit too hard to understand as to what I should do, I couldn't end up winning. I think with some more polishing and maybe even a tutorial with some more levels this could be a really nice game. Very unique concept, overall I like the game :)

The idea of letting people just explore, was part of the plan, to let them feel the pressure of the clock ticking away. However it does seem like it was harder than I expected and has let some people down. When the jam is finished I will release some of the spoilers on the dev log. I like the idea of some kind of tutorial, or perhaps a video playthrough. Will think it over. Really glad you enjoyed the water. Nearly did not make it into the game due to time, so glad it did though. Thanks for playing.

I liked the call outs when things were activaed.
Got stuck sadly, might be good as someone suggested to have more indication when you are doing the correct order.
It was a good concept!

A nice game concept. One has to figure out the right combination to activate the missile. I played it for quite a while. Couldn't get the missile working. But it was fun trying to figure out what sequence needs to be achieved.  May be an indicator that shows the correct sequence count as you make your moves will be helpful to make the player feel confident moving ahead. Overall a great game concept.

Very challenging game! On a random note, it would be cool if this was in a 3D environment, and you had to walk around / look around to find all the cables and complete everything.

Developer(+1)

I agree @KiranMusic, that would be cool indeed. Unfortunately my 3d skills are zero, but a lovely idea. Thanks for playing.

Hi. I like the setting. I think it is all part of the game to have generator overloads and figure things out on the spot. Well done!

Developer

Spot on. Explore, build pressure, hopefully survive.

I like the concept, but it's kinda hard to figure out the right thing to do.

Developer

The lack of instruction, by design, has been a bone of contention. However useful and appreciated feedback. Thanks for playing

Interesting concept.  Maybe needs some more obvious feedback from the generator and labeling of what is a battery and heating coil.

Also, great job, fictional country leaders in deciding where to cut corners.

Interesting concept. Voice over was a nice touch. The critical path / intended strategy wasn't really clear, so I just went with trial and error. Otherwise, a decent entry overall.

I really enjoyed the concept, voice acting fits really well with the whole concept.

I must say at some point I was confused what I should do next or if what I've done so far has brought me closer to launching the rocket. I assumed a lot and I think many would enjoy that aspect but personally I like to have some indication of progression. All in all great job!

Developer

Thanks for the comment. It was an active decision to try and make it exploratory, and let the panic set in a bit as the timer counted down. Based on your comment I am guessing that you might have missed the post it note? Thanks for playing and the feedback. Appreciated.

I found it and understood what I should do but I wasn't sure if I did it properly. I guess that's a *me* thing mostly. I find the concept really interesting and yes, I did feel a bit of panic so your design was successful! I wish you all the best!

I enjoyed playing your game, but just like jurganson I did not know how to launch the rocket. Some kind of indication when you have completed an objective might help, like a voice line or a beep near the launch lever (which I could not use?). Great voice acting though! Very clear and I could hear everything correctly. Really nice job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, noted, will probably update after the jam. If you have a dying need to save the world, think about which switch did absolutely nothing during the game.

love the art style and concept! goob job!

Nice submission, I did enjoy the game. However, I did not finish it as I simply could not understand what to do after charging both the heating coil, and rocket battery, opening the door, and lighting the gas. Do you have a hint as to how to proceed from there? I really want to save the world you know.

Apart from the above, nice art style and easy-to-understand mechanics. Normally when you do voice acting it can be a bit out of place but your voice (assuming it's yours) did not take away from the aesthetics.

Overall, a nice and complete experience.

If you have the time, please consider rating our submission - thanks!
Lawn & Order

Developer(+1)

@jurganson, hint: which was the only switch that did nothing? Thanks for the comment. Yes my voice. If I had more time I probably would have gone for a more computerised option. Thanks. Need to go and order a lawn.
