Big thanks for everyone how played and rated my game.
I'm really happy how the result turned out.
See you in the next jam. ๐
Really good execution on the theme and well polished
Thank you ๐
Great concept and even better execution! Sometimes it might get a bit confusing, but rotating the view a couple of times helps me get a sense of direction. I love the art style / shading as well, the whole game kinda feels like a Nintendo 64 title from an alternative dimension.
True.
With the right character and Nintendo charme this would have been a nice early 3D game. ๐
Saw this on stream and I had to try it myself! It's a lot of fun to play, the controls are responsive and the concept fits the theme perfectly. Doesn't feel like it was made in just 48h, good job!
Wow, thanks.
A lot has to be contributed to the Kenney Assets and the Sound Library I used.
If I had to make these by myself aswell it probably would have taken a week ๐
really great use of 3d perspective in 2d view
really awesome game
Thanks you for the comment. ๐
Really fun game, I really liked the first couple of levels as they made it easy to understand the controls and how the game works. Perfect rating from me :D
Thank you. ๐
As the controlls can be quite hard to get around, I really wanted to focus on a nice and clean step by step tutorial.
Awsome to get the feedback, that it does its job.
doesnt open...
Would you mind telling me what excaxtly doesn't open ?
Like the web version (which browser are you using) or
the standalone one (on what OS are you running) ?
LOVE this concept! I also like how you took time to make the blocks in the foreground somewhat transparent so you knew they were there but also knew they weren't on your current plane. The levels were fun and had a good difficulty curve too. Great work! Thanks for sharing :)
Happy to hear you liked it.
The transparency comes from a custom shader I wrote.
It takes in the distance of the camera to a vertex and changes its alpha (transparency) according to it.
Clever!
Really original and excellent mechanics, good job!
Thank you ๐
Fez got me into this and this takes me all the way back. Very polished, you will be good in the ranking.
Yes, indeed Fez was the main inspiration.
Maybe I piggyback a bit on that in terms of originality,
but I hope to make up for it in the polishing department.
Lets see were the rating will take it.
The puzzle/pathfinding aspect of this is really drawing me in, especially in later levels.
What is holding it back for me personally is just that the "platformer" part after you figured out where to go is a litte... wonky? It's not bad, just way less fun on its own (like, the earlier levels)
Thanks for the specific feedback.
You have a good point about the platforming aspect.
It really helped in term of clearity of what the game is good at and what not.
I'll take that into account going forward.
Also thanks for the nice stream.
I really enjoyed it while jamming myself.
