I got soft-locked and couldn't jump over the first door. The concept is cool, but I think it would be better if you had to hit "e" or something to enter a door.
Sorry that first door does suck. I agree having control over going into the doors would be less painful, Thanks for the feedback!
Gosh it was a little frustrating trying to convince that cute lil character to go where I wanted it to go haha. I think it could definitely do with some platforming controller improvements so controlling the character is easier.
I think it's a cool puzzle idea though. It fits the theme very well :) It would be nice if there was a way to do it other than having to try every door but maybe the challenge can just be explored as an extreme memory game haha. You could take it really far by having moving doors and platforming things like jump pads etc.
Thanks I appreciate you playing and giving me ideas! I pretty convinced now that the character could do with some movement tweaks, if I wanted to give it a update after the jam, I think making a hint system that Daniel Dewaswala suggested would be cool, for example there could be question mark pickups, and when there touched they point to the next door you should go to. I like your idea of moving doors and jump pads too!
Nice game, but can you you make a walkthrough or hint system?
Thanks! I like the idea of a hint system, that could add more depth to the game.
It's really pretty. I liked the animation in the beginning. The idea is interesting, however it would be nice if there was more to it than just brute-forcing your way to the solution. Also, I think the jump could be slower, because I often found myself failing to jump over doors.
Thanks I appreciate it, I agree with you with making the jump slower and having more to it, maybe after the jam I could consider updating it.
Cute and challenging. I like it!
Thanks! This was the first game jam I've ever joined so it's nice to hear positive feedback.
