Description
I interpreted the theme as a battle between Light and Darkness. That's why it turned out the way it did.
Well, I also really missed writing rock tracks. This is also the reason =)

P.S.: There are three versions of one track. Full, without guitars and without strings. They don't have new parts, they just don't have named instruments to hear the other parts better. I recommend listening to all three.

Very cool rock/metal approach, I really enjoyed listening to this submission! The guitars sound great! Personally I don't really think you needed to have 3 alternate versions of the track, it was cool being able to hear the other instruments better but it felt a bit redundant and made the mix feel empty and less balanced

This a really cool submission, great work!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you like it)
Additional versions appeared due to the fact that I did not have time to finish the main one to the point where all parts could be heard perfectly))

Nice work! definitely a jam! It's fun to hear action in the music submitted to these.

Developer

Thank you! Appreciate it, glad you enjoyed it)

Nice work!

It definitely just works.

Out of personal taste I might just do more with the sound to give it a broader sense of space, i.e. playing with the stereo image and reverb.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I agree. I need to stop doing everything symmetrically with double tracks.

Heh... definitely one of my favorites of this jam!

A bombastic melody, killer guitars and pleasant strings... Cool! (I honestly don't know what else to say)

I remember your ENTIOX-22 perfectly well (I'm still a small fan of it). I will be happy to follow your further work!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you like it =)

this mixture of rock and orchestral is really full and fleshed out! my only thing has to do with mixing like pixcele said. some orchestral parts are lost in the mix sometimes (not often), balance the strings out with the guitar and you'll be golden. very nice compositional skills!

also, to add, i noticed in an earlier comment you left that all of the guitars are live recorded - thats super impressive, great job on that!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I agree, mix need more work.

Glad you liked it)

Love me some rock orchestra, and I think you executed it very well here! I especially love those soaring string lines over top of the heavier guitar lines, creates a very strong contrast that gives the listener lot to listen to and makes it even more impactful, I think you could make the strings a little bit louder on the higher end especially but overall very good quality for this, good stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yes, this track need more work. Maybe i'll make version 2.0, or full song with a band)

The combination of rock and orchestra here is so good!! There's many great idiomatic features that stand out, like

0:00 glitch
0:17 bass solo
1:20, 1:40 breaks sections
2:10 revitalizing intensity (lovely moment!!)
2:50, 3:05 nice outro ideas, callback to earlier parts

The writing translates in all versions, really good job on that!

My only suggestion might be giving instruments more rhythmic freedom at solo opportunities, or rise above the existing track like at 1:30 and 1:50 or 2:50, or separate them from the chords. But the writing is so solid, feel like this gives me a lot to learn. Structure and arrangement especially- very cohesive with appropriate intensity, elements for each section, and naturally varied.

It's nice to see more of your action-oriented work. They silenced you on theme for Alt ost 😭 I'll have to keep waiting for when they ask you to write the animal crossing RPG music >:)

Wow! Thank you for such open commentary! Glad you like it=)
Yep, agree, instrumentation and melodies in some parts need to be fixed and improved))

Powerful and moving at the same time. A pleasure to hear, with top notch sound quality. My favorite take is the third one (without guitars): in this version the transition at 1:45 hit me harder and overall everything feels more nuanced. Thank you for sharing your incredible work!

Thanks!
Guitar and string parts need some more tweaks for better sounding together.
Some parts of the track sound better in isolated versions by now.

Banger! Sounds great :D

Pretty cool that you added two versions without certain instruments. I myself like making dynamically changing music for my game jams and it's fun to try and make things sound good while only being partially complete. I'm wondering what a "no percussion" version will sound like, it may also be quite good and fitting :D

Developer

Thank you! I think that that will be little bit tricky without percussion, but yep, nice idea)

Great mix and tone, especially given the timeframe. Absolutely boss.

Thank you so much!

Really, really, love the track! Used to listen to a lot of metal and rock growing up, so this is really up my alley. Only got good things to say, sick stuff!

Developer

Thank you! Appreciate it, glad you like it)

Well you got me with the chord change I had no idea where you were going. Mix sound great, I would've change just a couple voicing on some chords but overall its turned out pretty nice, enjoyed listening.

Developer

Thanks! Yep, there are couple places with questionable voicing, i agree)

Very cool rock track. Really enjoyed the chord choices. Boss battle vibes. Great guitar quality. Great work!

Developer

Thank you!)

Really high energy and intense! I liked it a lot! If you used a VST for the guitars what did you use?

Developer

Thanks! Guitars are all live recorded. Bass is Prime Bass from Kontakt. I could record it live too but had no time)

Effects for them - Guitar Rig 6.
