question: just for compare, please say what you think, pushing primitive objects like in kind of sokoboan, positive: music and with voice speaking audio negative: try to play there is a cube box spawned and auto moved forward, break the wall - it want go through circle ? space changes primitive object, but that in time, break the wall! found in color would be this https://bitgamey.itch.io/upturn
I'm learning today that I'm really bad with geometric shapes. This was my best, and most attempts weren't even close.
The challenge is definitely in lining up with the opening rather than picking the right shape (I really only think to mention this because I just played another similar game where I had the opposite problem.)
Judging whether I'm going to hit the side of the wall or not is far more difficult than I feel like it should be, but I know that's a problem with my skills and not the game.
Aesthetically everything is very, very grey. Which certainly works for a dystopian monochronistic world, but perhaps the player could have more colours since they're the last remnants of the older, more creative world. Each shape could be their own hue. :)
Follows the theme, simple visuals(very nice).
Best time i got was 25 after 10ish tries,
Found it very frustrating to try and line things up, close to the edge it felt like it was just a hope and a prayer aha.
Overall it was a enjoyable game loop, enough to try it a bunch of times!
This is fun! Very nice implementation of a simple idea! Gets really addicting!
Love the very quick gameplay loop with frustration + try again vibe :D
Another great example that you don't need crazy good graphics to have something fun and engaging!
About the controls: it feels to me that it would be even better with three fixed lanes, and we didn't need to exactly match the hole in the barriers!
Thanks mate,
Frustration is what I was aiming for, he he, hence you don't have 3 fixed lanes, and the cutout in the walls are not always the same for each shape, so sometimes you have to adjust the position even if you are in the left, middle or right side of the track.
My aim was to go crazy with effects, but then MacOS build vs WebGL build cost me 2 evenings of work. Had to change UI, resolution, etc.
Neat idea. I was about to reach about 30s. I liked the varied voices. Would have loved a little floor texture to be able to better eyeball where I need be would, but either way it has a kind of addicting feel for me.
Not bad at all, it's a simple game and fits the theme very well! My best was 0:53 seconds.
Nice simple gameplay with good sound design, best i got was 0:31 after about 10 tries
