Fun and interesting enemies. Never knew dirty laundry can be this dangerous!

Okay so ummm. . . the storyline is quite Harold. It was quite silly and lighthearted, and I'm pretty sure Harold's love for Apples is now canon forever.

Battles were challenging, but that Teddy Bear was pretty clutch. There was some strategy in the battles which was nice, and it was balanced well enough for a short game. Maps were somewhat crude and in need of improvement.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad I could contribute to the Harold lore haha! I definitely need to learn how to improve making maps, it was my first time using RPG Maker so... yeah the design was just me throwing tiles onto screen and seeing what would stick.

Thanks for hosting this jam btw! It's been a lot of fun! :)

A transcript of my thoughts as I played through the game:

+ The enemy battle sprites are unique. Nice!
+ Battles are a little on the long side and are challenging, but managable if you properly equip yourself.
+ Side view is still more visually appealing, but you did pretty good with the front view battle.
+ No major grammar or spelling issues. Well done!
- Door to the house disappears when you talk to it. Set it to "Direction Fix" to prevent it.
- The mapping is a bit off. There's no difference between the walls and ceiling tiles.
- Skill description for "Focus" goes off the visible area.

"+" indicates something I liked. "-" indicates something I didn't like.

This game's silly attitude belies a very challenging series of battles. I enjoyed the challenge, and have been inspired by this approach to the concept of a boss rush!

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll be sure to make those fixes as well!

Thanks! I'll work on balancing the game out next time!

Challenging fights, had to retry the dirty clothes four times lol :)

It feels like a full adventure thanks to the concept of cobbling together a full kit of items and equipment as you progress, which is a nice achievement for such a short game.

It was a lot of fun, and pretty funny!

Thanks for the kind words! I tried to make the fights difficult but fair, hopefully I struck a good balance!

So Harold is an apple lover? everything on the game is around apples xD

Honestly, I had no idea what I was thinking. Haha. I just thought it'd be funny if he was obessed with something to a fault.

Harold: The character himself is okay, but it doesn't really show how harold he is to me.

Creativity: The story line is actually hilarious.

Fun: Mostly (super hard) battles, to me it would be much better if HP gauge is shown.

And I like the thing that I can gather items to win the battles.

Thanks for the feedback! I wasn't sure what the "definitive" Harold character was like (or if there even was one) so I just improv'd him into an apple-loving adventurer. I tried to strike a good balance between difficult but fair fights, I probably have to improve on that front. I'll have to turn on the HP gauge for next time!
