A simple but fun little game with charming, self-made art!
It took me a moment to figure out how to play, so a short tutorial at the start would have been helpful, even though there were instructions in the menu it was not very clear to me at the beginning.
The music and SFX were present and worked well with the overall ambiance.
Adding some VFX could liven things up even more in a future update or some extra SFX.
The theme was there so checked, maybe could be a bit more.
Overall, a solid jam entry! 🎮✨
It took me a second to understand how to play this, there is a how to play section which now i know how top lay makes more sense but at the start didn't. So maybe a short tutorial would be wise. What confused me most of all btw is what the symbols in the bottom where because it went from right to left. But it is just the sequence.
It is a nice puzzle game that fits well in with the theme
The simple art style matches the game play. The visuals makes the player feel like they're doing complex stuff which adds more fun. It took me a while to understand how to play it, so, consider revising the instructions on how to play the game. To me the background music is on point with the visuals but the sound effects were a little bit mismatched from the art style. I suggest adding a little bit of animation in the background to make it more appealing and less static. You can also make it a bit more comfortable for the players by adding keyboard input as an option. Quick and easy game. This looks promising if you add more puzzle variations to make it unique. Smooth game, nice one!
I really like the minimalistic style. It works well, especially when there’s limited time to build a complete game. The game is quite short, but the puzzles are well-designed. Once you understand the logic behind them, they become intuitive and enjoyable to solve. I see how you’ve incorporated the theme by having the player repeat everything until all levels are completed. However, this is a common approach in most puzzle games, so in my opinion, a more unique connection to the theme would have made it stand out even more. It’s a nice and polished experience. Keep going, and I’d love to see how you expand on it!
Love this game is simple and straight to the point. The final round almost got me as I was on the last attempt.
The green on black art design is nice to look at and very on point. I would recommend exploring its usage in future projects. The music is fun to listen two and the sound effects are clean. The game is also properly balanced in terms of volume in my opinion. Would be interesting if the puzzles branched off a little more but it works well as it stands. The letters do loop back around in terms of rounds, but theme feels more of a coincidence than intentional.
While not important, I did want to note I could see the letters coming in and off the screen (white boxes and blue background). I would suggest using a bigger buffer outside your intended canvas or changing the scaling properties for wider monitors.
Overall thank you for this fun short puzzle game.
I enjoyed the puzzle, but I wanted more! Don't get me wrong- what you have here is good, but it would be cool, if where was more puzzles, with more symbols... maybe more rules too?
The presentation was alright- the combination of black-green computer graphics, and mysterious symbols hit the 90's nostalgia for me :)
I don't understand what needs to be done; it's very cryptic.
The graphics and sounds are good.
The effort to innovate is something to be appreciated.
It fits the theme only somewhat, in my opinion.
