Neat game! I included it in my Godot Community Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Great game. I echo the praise of the GUI and the sound, especially.

The theme could have been a little more directly integrated, mabye hot/cold enemy types too, with different vulnerabilities? You could lead the chasing "hot" enemies onto ice squares to hurt them, etc.

Thought this was a very enjoyable game  and appreciate the 2 level options. Good job!

Great job on the UI and music, they're big highlights of this entry! The gameplay is nice, it's surprising initially that you shoot only in the direction you're facing, but as others mentioned it forces you to move more, which is fine.

I didn't really see a big impact of the temperature mechanics, it's too easy to avoid those tiles altogether and never be bothered by their effect (at least in non extreme mode, and when dying relatively fast :P).

Well done and good choice of graphics and sounds!

Thanks!

Quite nice. I didn't expect the Player to fire in the direction he was looking but it forces the player to move a lot more. Good job.

Love the music and UI. Fits the theme perfectly

Is there any way to get health back?

Liked the AI and got my heartracing. Keep it up!

Note: the heat/red surface was a little glitchy on speed-up but the rest was super smooth

Thanks for the feedback!  Unfortunately I didn’t make any health pick ups or regeneration mechanics.  I wanted to keep the mechanics relatively simple due to the short time of the jam.  The red tiles push you a random cardinal direction, which I now realize can seem kind of glitchy.  I probably should have had it push you outwards relative to the center of the tile.
