stunning visuals! really enjoyed the art direction for this submission, also really unique concept guiding ships to their destinations. well executed too. as mentioned already, gradual difficulty would've been nice but with some practice it's pretty easy to get the hang of. great job!
Very cute graphics. I love the miniaturized look. Occasionally it lagged a tiny bit (browserversion). My high score! :D
Great soundtrack.
But the game lags for me.
This is really great! First time all the ships crashed, but second time I got 5 to survive. If you want to develop it farther, I think it would help to have some easier levels and gradually ramp up the difficulty
Thanks, yeah we got in a little time trouble polishing and testing the gameplay, for the next game jam our goal is improvement of project/time management. :)
Love the audio and art. Fun idea for a game. The low poly reminds me of a low poly lighthouse tutorial I did once,
I did find managing so many ships frustrating as they immediately turn back. I think it would be nice if they maintain their direction for a short while or slowly arc back to their original course, allowing easier management of multiple ships.
Very pretty art and the song was a delight. As others said, it was a bit tough to play. I seemed to get ships spawning on opposite ends from their targets in the very beginning both times I played. I would have liked to have seen the theme play a bigger role in the mechanics, too.
Great work to the team! I look forward to seeing what you all make in the future.
It was tougher than I thought it would be when I started!! The visuals here were really lovely, I like the texture of the water a lot. I am a sucker for geometric designs though. The game was a great representation of a simple gameplay loop that is well executed.
It’s a nice game, easy to understand and play. The music fits perfectly the theme. The place feels cozy despite ships crashing here and there. The tiny, lit windows help with the coziness.
For me, the game doesn’t restart after the game over messages. I needed to reload.
Really fun but I did find it a bit hard, might be nice if the ships kept on their last trajectory instead of aiming back towards their target when the light is moved away, so you could guide one and leave it on a safe path while you help another instead of having to stop them because I found they built up and I had a lot stopped.
Thank you,
it is possible to guide the ships to a "wrong" target, but i'll get tracked differently.
Sadly we didn't got enough time for testing, then we may have implemented your suggestion.
This is a very cute game. The game is really hard though. It might have been nice to have some ramp up on what colors could come from what directions. Right off the bat I had two ships on opposite sides from their destination. This meant I needed to stop one boat while slowly leading the other. Before I even got done with the first one more boats spawned. Small thing though because with some tweaks that could be sorted and you'd have a fun little game here.
Thanks for checking it out. We definitely need to get the gameplay done sooner next time to have time to test and refine it.
