Game Description
Ending an apocalypse is not easy...especially as a pet turtle. In order to cast the spell of Deducktion, you, Mark's turtle, must retrieve the wand of duck's bane...which is guarded in duck tower. Deducktion is a unique platformer in that, instead of stomping enemies, you must hit them from beneath.

How does your game tie into the theme?
You must perform the ritual of deducktion to destroy the ducks. However, in order to perform the ritual, you must retrieve the wand of duck's bane, which has been stowed away in the duck tower.

Great arts and controls! The sound is a bit too high, but the game is fun!

Nice! Enjoyed how you pulled the retro aesthetic, both in visuals and music. The detail of restarting in the second level when dying in it was 10/10 :)

Very enjoyable game, I loved how many details you fit in the small resolution of the turtle, the music is also very cool(reminded me of Loop Hero), something that could be improved is to simply be able to skip the  intro, it does not interfere in the gameplay but it would be a nice addition.

Who doesn't love a terrible pun!?

I totally didn't read the instructions properly at first and was trying to stomp on enemies!
I fell off the world to the side at one point - fun glitch!

I think you've done incredibly well to nail the retro platformer style jumping and this is a great entry, not least for a first attempt!

Lol, very creative take on the theme, and I enjoy the absurd humor. Too make the movement feel super smooth I think you could make it so you're able to jump right out of going into your shell so you don't have to stop pressing down first.

I loved the writing and tone. Good sfx and fun turtle-based mechanics. Platforming feels really good, especially after I learned you can double jump. Would appreciate the ability to "look before you leap" when jumping from one screen into another.
