I liked the fact that the boat add this inertia to its movement (although lowering the sail seemed to make it brake quite abruptly but I'm no sailor :) )

Cool game, could be great with a few more features, I think

Developer

Thanks for feedback & playing. You are right about the braking it isn’t feeling natural at all. :)

The controls were awesome, and I loved the UI showing the sail on the side!

I immediately got lost, and felt that if there was a hunger mechanic, my crew would have been in danger!

The atmosphere was spooky, and the sound effects were subtle enough to add to the spookiness.

An awesome job!

Thanks for the feedback.

I was aiming for a lost at sea feeling overall so glad it came through.

Little disappointed that the mechanism to locate the posts is purely based on sound alone but it was very last minute addition and best I could do before I had to submit it.

I like the ship's wheel UI! Makes us feel like we're really navigating the boat.

Unfortunately, I didn't know where to go.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback. Yeah the navigation is a bit lacking and without sound effects finding the posts is pretty hard (they make a humming sound that gets louder the closer you get).

The unique UI is a cool idea and the way it is combined with how the controls work is well done.

Developer

Thanks. I tried to keep it minimalistic but informative.

The controls of the ship were surprisingly realistic, which I am a fan of. Shame there was no ending, now the poor seaman has to wander the brine for all eternity :(

Developer

Yeah thanks I was aiming for ‘Sea of Thieves’ kind of controlling of the ship (in sense that you cannot turn without moving and you cannot reverse the ship). One tot of rum for the crew for our poor sailor boy :D

Found the controls to be a bit wonky and unresponsive, but I liked the resource gathering, great job!

Developer

Thanks for feedback & playing. I tried to make controlling the ship little challenging and slow to react but it sure could’ve used some more work to make it feel better.
