Game Description
An endless game about sustainable food production using Aquaponics

How does your game tie into the theme?
Aquaponics is a way of working towards a sustainable food source in limited space. Plants attract insects, insects feed the fish, fish fertilise the plants. A great cycle!

Am I doing this right?

I couldn't quite figure out how made the NO3 gauge move at all, but I guess I was doing the right thing, since my fish grew up pretty quickly.

Developer

Looks ideal to me!

Unfortunately I forgot to clamp the values on the gauge, so it’s probably at +1M or something unreasonable in that picture, hahaha

Thanks for playing!

This looks like the perfect way to play the game. Haha. Thanks for trying it out!

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it!

The game honestly was quite addicting and simple. I played it for quite some time xD. The only one thing I can point out is the lack of sound effects. Overall great submission.

Thank you for trying out the game! We are glad you liked it! Good point about sound effects, we will definitely bring that with us to the next jam!

I enjoyed spawning the fish and watching the grow and swim around, looks very natural and no obvious repeating patterns, well done. However I could not find the plant button, I looked so hard! Maybe I'm getting older or my colour-blind eyes are struggling. :) Well done on your first GWJ.

Developer

Thank you!

These planters are definitely a weak point of the game, if we come back to it they’ll be the first thing to get changed :)

This is such a fantastic entry, it's simple, fun, and relaxing! The game ties into the theme so strongly. I thought the swarm AI was done quite nicely, and I liked the variety of fish. Great job team!!

Fun and relaxing idea!

It took me quite some time to find the buy a plant option, it is hard to see.

I sold a fair bit of fish :D

Nice touch with the wavy text.

Thanks! Yeah, I thought that finding where to click might be an issue. I was planning on adding an outline shader for clickables and hoping that would help, but ended up running out of thyme and just changed the mouse shape to the hand :D
