Thank you! :D I wanted to do something a bit more fun than the standard numeric coin counter for your money!

Thank you! Yeah I was experimenting with some image drawing stuff in this. The cursor trail, the rabbit rainbow, and the spent bullet casing smoke all draw stuff onto an image which fades over time. Check the source code if you’re interested :D Definitely agree about the play field, it was just a pure green ColorRect until the last day lol
Victory! This game is so cute, it was the first game I’ve played this jam so far that really made me grin. The gameplay is simple but it’s super clean and just good fun.
The art is really something special though! Great job with the 3d models, their texture work is stunning. It’s really impressive that you managed to make the different vegetables all distinct enough to discern them from a distance. I genuinely want some of those little guys as plushies or something.
One funny thing I noticed is that the music doesn’t loop, I guess I spent too much time admiring the little scene hahaha
Great work team :D
The windows executable doesn’t work for me, just spams a very loud noise on an empty screen. I got curious so I ran the exe through gdsdecomp (sorry) but then running the decompiled game in the editor made it work for some reason! So I might be the only participant besides yourself to actually play your submission! The game got stuck making the Neniri so I had to tweak the StoryOrder and then manually open the next scene. I don’t even know if doing this is breaking the rules lol. If it is I apologise, curiosity got the better of me. But even then after all the messing around I still couldn’t find a soul to put in the Neniri :( It’s a shame because I was getting really invested in the story. I hope you can fix it up eventually!
Bosca Ceoil is a great program to start with, super intuitive! It’s what I first used
I defeated Fiona the Spoiled! Honestly at first I thought it seemed kind of boring but during the second battle it really clicked with me and I started seriously enjoying myself! In fact during one of the later battles the “end turn” button broke for a minute and I got really worried that I my run was ruined but it started working again after a kept clicking it hahaha. The art was not the game’s strength but it wasn’t bad. The gameplay was very fun once I got the hang of it! Overall, super solid, polished submission and I hope you’re proud of what you made! :D
Foremostly, I really enjoyed the art. It reminded me of a David Firth animation or something, and I half expected something macabre to happen because of that! The gameplay was very original but a bit lacklustre honestly (for my taste). The game felt very solid and polished overall, I didn’t experience any bugs or anything weird! You made great use of the theme as well as all of the wildcards! Congrats on a really solid first GWJ submission! :D
Love the colour palette you used! Some of the platforming was a bit frustrating, I kept bumping my head on the ceiling lol. Maybe a bit more of a forgiving jump could help, like after dropping off an edge, still let the player jump for a few frames (Celeste did this perfectly for reference). Level design was pretty solid though. Great, well scoped, and very cohesive submission. I hope you two are proud of what you put together! :)
Thank you for the detailed feedback! I really struggled getting the movement predictable because of how random Godot physics are haha, I tried my best though. Yeah I’ve found that with jam games, if there is no checkpoint system, people won’t want to try again from the start and they’ll give up. Thanks!
