Very pleasant game! A bit on the easy side after just a few upgrades. I like the idea of mashing up two genres into one. Maybe a few more challenges (moving platforms or spikes) on the platforming side could spice things up. Nice job!

Really fun game, great job! I found it a little bit easy. The concept is super unique, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it before! Congrats :)

Yeah for me the concept was what made me push through because I realized I had very limited time. I focused on completing the core gameloop but the balance is off ☺️

I really like the idea of this game, it has a lot of potential for expanding. But I encountered some problems. First when I disable the tutorial, my character couldn't move anymore, it got stuck for some reason. This also happened with tutorial on, I would click play, pass all that text, and then I couldn't move as well. Second, when I lost and clicked the X button instead of OK, the game just stays frozen and I don't know if I missed it, but there were no pause button so I had to restart the browser tab itself. Also, the rightmost and leftmost enemies were very hard for the plane to hit, even with all max upgrades, they were the reason for all my losses, the plane would just bounce off the wall and not hit the planes when they got too small. (Also this is more my problem than anything but as always, I was pretty unlucky, I often got 4 to 5 back to back downgrades, and since they stay a lot of time on the ground, they would make me lose some upgrades if I didn't want to get them to get to the upgrade)

Other than that, I found the game pretty good, the character was very charming with his voice lines, and the sprites were very good as well. Congrats on the game!

I agree the balance is off 😁

Later on when enemies get smaller and have more hp is can be better to downgrade the speed.

I haven't encounterd the non moving bug, I'll look into that and fix it after the jam. Thanks again!

I like the original idea of not directly controlling the game, just the upgrades through a mini game. It was quite easy, no idea if the plane was ever in danger. Nice graphics!

The balans is not in the correct place, if you get unlucky in the beginning it can actually get impossible. But if you get max turrets and max launchers it's pretty much impossible to loose.

Concept is very original and nicely executed, i also liked the graphics and sound (both music and SFX were really nice). Overall a good and fun game.

Nice game! I liked the pixel art and the whole split screen thing. My main complaint is that it got a bit repetitive after a bit, as there' only 1 real thing you can do. The the X's and speed debuffs helped make it more engaging, but that got a little old too. Good job though!

I totally agree! I had way less time than anticipated. I shifted to finishing a game loop at one point and had no time for enemy diversity and or more impact full downgrades.

I did like the overall idea so I tried to make it as complete as possible to atleast submit.
