How do you start the game?

Developer

Uhmm.. Are you facing a problem in downloading the game?.. or launching the exe?

if you have a screenshot, please send it

This is very creative, I enjoyed it. Just a couple of bits of feedback.. The intro story is very long, I'm worried you might lose potential players in this time. Navigating the maze can be frustrating (unable to turn corners easily). I feel like those minor/fixable things detract from a fun exploration type of game. Well done on pulling many systems together (platformer / dialogue / cutscene / top-down)!

Developer

You are maybe right, The intro is too long (5 scenes). I thought "Maybe someone impatient will leave after 3 or 4 scenes."

So, I have put a skip button for these people and blocked skipping on important parts of dialogue and parts that are autodialogue.

there are only 2 unskipable scenes, is it alot?

About the maze,.. Hmm, I have tried it alot to make sure collisions are correct, can you tell me more?

I suppose you are right, I forgot to skip on my first play through but this time tried to skip as much as possible as I'd seen it before. Just gotta find the right balance I guess.

Sure. This one for example, it's hard for me to line up, where as other areas I can slide into/around the corners quite easily. I feel like the difficulty with a maze should be finding the path, not moving once you have found the path you want to take. :)

Developer

You are right, it is indeed hard :(

Do you know an easy fix I can do to make movement easier?

Since you are doing top-down 2d. Maybe look at the HeartBeast tutorials... or I'm sure GDQuest has something on it too!

Thanks <3

This was a pretty unexpected but well-made experience. Once I started to notice that even the text popping in had comedic timing, I knew this was going to be an interesting experience. The "making the vessel" bit was actually really cool.

Outside of that, dialogue animations were all pretty impressive. In fact, there were so many dialogue animations that the raw variety of them kept me entertained, from sprites to effects to just about everything. I really never knew what was coming next, but it never felt wholly random either. There was also a huge amount of gameplay variety, to the point where I'm not even really sure what genre I'd put this game in. The music was also really nice and certainly grew on me.

For some feedback, a lot of the strange spelling, capitalizations, and some fonts made text a bit hard to read at times. I'm not sure the typos added much, though perhaps they were supposed to indicate the "corruption". I also wish there was a "pause" option since characters would sometimes auto-dialogue a bit and I felt I'd miss something if I blinked haha.

Honestly, I found myself a bit disappointed when it ended, in a good way. I actually wanted a bit more. I feel like the game struggled to hold my attention by the time I reached the maze, but it had been so unexpected up to that point that I was waiting for the next thing to really take me by surprise... which the credits did I suppose hahaha. Great submission! Congratulations on reaching the jam's finish line.

the auto dialogue part is intended :D

what u missed was not important at all. (it was garbage talkinh)

Iam really happy you liked it, thanks for this amazing longy review! It made my day

Oh right the typos, you are correct about that part its to indicate corruption

I was going to make it clear in future if i added more content
