I found this to be a very clever and satisfying environmental puzzle solver with a surprising amount of strategic problem solving required. Great balance between being easily learnable and deceptively challenging. Awesome work!
Impressive ! The best game of this kind I have played so far. Art is cool, tutorial is clean, and the level design is great. Perfect score for me !
The amount of polish is astonishing. Keep it up!
Game looks and sounds great. Good job!
This game looks really cool in terms of visuals and the gameplay is really fun too. Loved the art and audio. great work!
the puzzles are amazing characters are charming genius level design clean graphics
literally everything is good about it
just please add an undo function and make the character faster
10/10
Dang. I don't even know what to say. Like a lot of people, I've played a bunch of games with a similar mechanic where you roll dice onto certain faces (I've been calling them Bloxorz-likes and I have been keeping count). This knocks it out of the park and it's hard to even compare it to the others. You have so many unique mechanics, the story line is hilarious, and the graphics and sounds are super polished. You really made something excellent here; well done and thanks for the game :)
I knew that a lot of games would be about rolling a dice as well, but my brain kind of stuck on this idea from the moment I heard the theme, so I gave up on finding something else and tried to push the concept a bit further.
I'm glad you liked it, & thanks for playing !
I’ve played quite a few games in this jam following this concept, but I think this one has pulled it off the best so far. The difficulty felt just right.
It was super satisfying going back to the beginning with all the extra powers to finish off the game. Amazing level design right there!
I agree with a lot of the commenters here though about the lack of an undo since it was quite slow to return if you got yourself stuck, and I had a bit of trouble visualising the dice without experimenting with pushing it at which point I was stuck, but I’d love to see a few more puzzles in this design!
Thanks for the detailed feedback!
This is an amazing accomplishment in 48 hours, you should be proud. Love the steady introduction to new mechanics as you go along, and the well thought out puzzles.
I can see the effort on every step of the game (level design, art, coding, sounds etc). This is a complete game!
This is such a fun game! I had a blast playing it.
OMG that's such a polished game ! Congratulations ! I loved it ! 5 stars everywhere !
I particularly loved the dialogues with the dice ("Hey, listen" and other things are like a Zelda game ah ah), it was very funny !
If you have time, could you please play and rate my game as well ?
I'm glad you liked it ! I've not started playing games but i'll make sure to play yours !
This had a lot of good things going for it. Presentation was great and it had nice spins on the dice-roll-puzzle mechanics. Unfortunately, for my taste, for a puzzle game, this was just way too sluggish. Everything moved kinda slowly and a single mistake meant I had to restart from the previous checkpoint. I realize adding an undo system in 48 h is a very hard task, but I think the game would greatly benefit from one. Also, it's a bit of a shame that three of the cube's sides were hidden at any time, making it even harder to figure out what the next action would do.
The puzzles themselves were very enjoyable and the right difficulty for a jam setting. I think if you made the game feel a bit smoother and added some convenience features, this could be expanded and turned into a really neat puzzle game!
Yeah that's a fair point. That would have been too much time for the jam, but the game could greatly benefit from a way to predict what's will happen when you push the dice a certain way.
I'm glad you liked the difficulty, as I don't to too many puzzle games it's always a struggle to find the right difficulty :)
this game is really great! my smol brain can't solve the puzzles though so i just end up pushing the dice aroudnd ranomdly lol
A really beautiful game, nice animations and nice sprites, congratulations for doing everything in the jam period.
the theme is a bit generic, but the game design and story really pushed it. a problem i have is that it feels like you are just pushing the dice around different squares and just hoping it lands on the right face when you eventually push it to the door.
That's how I feel about my game as well.
The way to get what you want on top of the dice makes sense when you get used to it, but it would require a much longer learning area at the beginning I think. This or provide some visual elements to help the player predict which face is going to end up on top.
Great job! I like it!
Nice work, game is really polished and looks amazing.
Wow, such a polished game, great mechanics and animations. I love the story, but WHY IS THE DICE SHOUTING AT ME ;D
He is probably angry that I typed the story last minute in a hurry.
