The time barely passes. I think it's probably rounded down and restarted with each item or something, but I took 1-2 seconds per item. I think just pressing the cross on each item with no info will net you a good score as well (and probably lets you check hundreds of items). Other than that, fun idea and interesting execution. I like it

About the timer, it was actually intentional to stop it while waiting for baggage, so it's used for decision-making on each package. And the timer actually does increase slightly per correct guess and decrease per incorrect guess. Given more time, we would have implemented more visual cues with the inspector's face including more animation, along with other indicators about guessing good or bad.

Thanks for giving our game a try!

  1. The web versions of Godot engine games use WASM, which doesn’t load if you open the bundled HTML file with the web browser, the user has to set up a web server that serves the web game files e.g. $ python3 -m http.server. itch.io allows you to publish a game with a web version, and they will serve all the files without issues.
  2. I couldn’t understand what was really going on with the game, the items, etc.

There is an "How to play" button but it is disabled... I really would have needed it ^^'

Developer

Sorry, it was one of the things we failed to finish in time. For the first game jam, it was learning where we can and can't afford to finish in time. For next year, we're planning to train everyone on the Godot engine so we can produce faster.

I get a failed to fetch error when I try to open the game

Developer

If you're using the HTML, sorry we were panic uploading the game. We never uploaded a game to itch.io before. Use the 7z executable instead.

Cool take on the theme, I got a far negative score tho, so I ain't to good at the game however, had a bit of trouble understanding his face, but the art was great!

Developer

Haha yeah, we kind of ran out of time to animate the face as much as we wanted. I learned 2 artists are better than one. I think we could have also scoped back on certain details. The sweating was suppose to indicate some things.

Submitted

I can understand that! I was a bit unsure with the sweating though if it meant that he noticed suspicios things or that he was afraid of getting fired, fun idea though.

Developer

It was a little bit of both initially in our thinking process, alongside additional expressions. We tried to keep it somewhat ambiguous, but also still show some sort of sign of if the item was dangerous, or worried about destroying an innocent item.
