Really interesting combat system. Took a bit for me to put 2 and 2 together but I think the system works quite well!

Nice job! Difficulty curve was spot on and the special dice were unique and interesting. I found myself with duplicate permanent dice a few times and that was a bit annoying, so if you come back to this concept, maybe a way to sell back/trade dice would be a good addition.

"I found myself with duplicate permanent dice a few times" What I take away from that is that you played multiple runs, so I'm happy. There were a bunch of design stuff I could've improved and implemented. Preventing permanent dice from clogging your inventory is definitely one of them. Good suggestion

Yup, I died once on the final fight and my completionist brain wouldn't let me move on until I had beaten it, so  I went through again and used what I learned from the first run to advance much more tactically. Actually getting a game over I felt like was entirely my fault   has  been pretty rare for this jam, hence the props on a great difficulty curve. :)

I liked the art style and the idea of building a dice-deck to fight against monsters. Gave me slay the spire vibes. Give it more developement time and you'll setup this for a potential steam release bringing fun to people. 3/4/4

Stay crunchy.

Thank you :)
Unlikely I'll keep working on it since I got another project running, but also think it has potential. Maybe I'll revisit it in the future

One of the most fun jam games I've played yet, I could definitely sink a lot more time into this one!

hands down, the best-explained game I played yet, but even other than that, the game is way fun. it's way good for 45h. above gj!

Developer

Hahaha that means a lot to me. I've struggled in the past with making my games easily understandable, so doing halfway decent tutorials even in  a 48h jam was a priority. Glad it worked for you

Fun game. I liked the strategy element of knowing how much damage the enemy was going do and choosing the appropriate dice to get rid of them. If I’d realized earlier what the number meant, I might have made it a little further. lol

Developer

Enemies showing their damage was a feature I added right in the end, so its not explained what it means. But if you understood it along the way, I'm happy with that
