This was a wonderful little jam game. It's the perfect size to play quickly, has a wonderful idea at the core, and it's also plays really well. I loved it. Great work!

I was lucky enough to watch through your development progress in discord and i really happy for you

I did not expect this to be as comedic as it is??

The game play did evolve and like it! I do think it can be more intense? Maybe a little more... juice?

Congrats on finishing your game!

Having played dice games since I was a wee lad, I can confirm with confidence, that this is how dice work. Thank you for having the bravery to speak up and tell the truth about dice. More people need to know.

Jokes aside, you've built a solid little game here. The premise works and the randomized faces keep exploration from feeling like a chore because you can't rely on your knowledge of real dice. Kudos for not letting the theme control your game.

I think the game could overall have a been a tad faster. More so in the first stage, checking all the faces and general navigation is just not engaging. It's slow and tedious. Slightly faster move speed and capture speed could bring this game closer to its sweet spot. Still, it's in a pretty solid place. I rolled 6, 6, 5 as those stage 3 turrets pack a serious bonk.

Well done. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this. Keep making games!

PS - I'll have you know your game was my 70th rated. If I hadn't already promised myself I was going to play your game, I would have stopped rating so I could have that super nice number of rated games :P

I was impressed with the animation and enjoyed how the difficulty increased over time. One note is that its generally known that on a real die opposite sides add up to 7, but your die didn't meet that expectation.

Overall it was just fun to move around in the game and that's what is most important!

Fun game! Simple concept, executed well. Nice job!

Very clever game! Super trippy, and very satisfying to play. The animations were very smooth as well. Great job!

Great idea and implementation! It was a delight to play :D I really dug the background effect, it gave a sense of danger to the humble die.

Cool idea, definitely how dice work. definitely got thrown by the opposing sides not matching a real die, but otherwise was good. the art is amazing and easily makes the whole game.

Raaah i almost made it! Stop bumping me, damn turrets! (I defeated the monster anyway so that's good! But what monster was it? A little goblin or a powerful golem!?)

Very cool concept, simple yet effective!

As a D&D player, i can agree : This is definitely how a dice work.

Can confirm this is definitely how dice works.

Cool game, but not a regulation die which makes it a little harder to navigate.

(Checks own game...)

Crap,  my game also doesn't have a regulation die. :P

pretty  funny idea for the theme! but the fact that the dice didnt follow the 7 rule drove me insane lol

Nice twist on the theme. There seams like there are some issues if you hit space while walking over the edge that (Player can just leave the die, player gets stuck behind the die.). But either way nice game.

Super fun to play, love the ideas!

This is now definitely how dice work imo. Nice work. Pretty awkward that the 1 wasn't opposite to the 6 and all the other rules, but I got there nevertheless. Great job

Love the visuals and the levels were unexpected. Cool!

The visuals have a lot of personality and charm, and the game itself is pretty intense, especially near the end where I barely captured the last point with 2 seconds left on the clock. The pacing was surprisingly good for a game jam too, the difficultly gradually goes up so the player has a chance to fully learn how the game works, which hits the sweet spot between frustrating and boring.

Great game! Great use of the theme! Art was great too.

I freaking love this lol

But i feel like the speed lines should be going up considering that the dice is falling

Developer

Hmm, interesting... 🤔I hadn't thought of it as falling! I imagined the dice going forward. Makes sense, though!

It's fun! I really like the art. My red cube fell off the die though T_T

Developer

aaaaaaah i thought I tested that enough to not happen
