Ranked from 145 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
The game is centered around making a musical loop track. The player also will loop back to the beginning when they go off screen. The number of loops played is also used as a score (the lower the better).

Extremely good and unique idea! You could do different levels in different music styles

Such a great idea, this needs more levels!

I love the game concept! It's well-executed and quite different from the other games I've seen for this jam. Great interpretation of the theme!

I like the idea and the song that we get at the end. The platforming is a little bit hard because of the way the keys activate but i really enjoyed it :)

Cool theme, I like that the playhead is coming to erase you. Maybe would be better if instead of scoring based on "loops" it was based on "deaths", so you are rewarded for avoiding the playhead by running to the right. I found the platforming a bit annoying and stiff (the controls of WASD+Space are hard to use for a platformer; arrow keys or controller support would be appreciated).

I don't usually self-promote in these comments but you might want to check out my game, which had a similar theme of building up musical instruments through successive loops.

Very creative concept, and the art and gameplay feel nice as well! Well done!

Great concept for a loop based game , easy to understand and fun to play ! Looking forward to more levels! ; )

It's   super   cool  that   we're   running away   from   the   almighty playhead   lol   love   the concept!

Nice game. You got five stars for Audio :)

Very good concept and execution although it's pretty short (but well, understandable (had actually tried to make a daw in godot) and considering you have to set up the ui in 4 days, it's pretty good! )

Very interesting concept and great execution!

Love the beat we get after activating all the notes. The pixel-style graphics are really cute too, especially the character we're playing as.

It was very fun to play. I'd love to try completing the other levels, if you intend on developing the game further.

Good job!

The only disappointing part of this one is how quickly it ends, if only it had at least one more stage hahaha. Can't wait to see what y'all come up with next with this type of concept!

Cool little time, and a real fun concept, definitely pretty simple and short, and I also would like if jumping on top of the empty platforms did something, but there's quite a good bit of good stuff here!

Nice game!  The platforming mechanics were a bit simple, but I kept going through loops because I wanted to hear the next instrument. It's a very creative idea. Well done!

Cute little game but the controls feel a little off. I'm pretty sure there was no jump buffering or coyote time. Also it was easy to bump your head on higher platforms when trying to make a jump. Really nice style and idea tho.

There actually was both jump buffering and coyote time. I didn’t have much time to tune them though. Definitely something I’ll be working on after the jam!

Fair enough. I think it was the head bonking that was the biggest problem.

Awesome game. Love the concept! Love the cursor guy! This game has also earned itself a place in my highly prestigious "things that somehow exist" collection. Congrats on the awesome entry. I had the same interpretation of the theme if you'd like to check out my game too.

Haha amazing thanks for the honour of being in your collection 😂

Really cool game concept! Made me wish there would be more to the song. The build you have now already feels so good to play and really polished :) I do think there should be a punishment for getting zapped by the timeline laser, but for now it was a nice casual experience.

Developer

Thanks! We did plan to have lives or have some of the platforms deactivate when dying, but ran out of time. Will definitely be in the updated build later on!
