How does your game fit the theme?
You must loop through the symbols to sign the contracts (end on the symbol you started), and the whole game is you doing the same task over and over again, which is signing contracts

The presentation and amazing, both audio and video (there are some quirks in the shop part, but that's just a nitpick). I had fun drawing the loops for a bit but game got very easy quickly and there was not much to do. Giving papers to the little dudes seems worse than just signing them myself. However the feel of stacking a bunch of papers in a row, signing and than swooping them all at once is great!

I had fun, the presentation and game feel are great, I'd like more challenge and variety. Great job!

Just wow !

Nice and simple idea with a good loop. I wish the drawing was a little more generous, I often felt like I went over a little circle but ended up not "hitting" it.

working a desk job has never been so fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yes, it was never fun.

Some UI clutter aside, this is an ingenious interpretation of the theme! I honestly had to pull myself away from the game because I could feel myself get proper addicted to the gameplay loop. It's so simple, yet absurdly effective. Stacking papers feels really fun and hectic, I got to the point where I was drawing on 6 papers at once in a relatively quick fashion which felt amazing! Brilliant entry, great job to everyone involved!

Developer

Thanks for playing. This is what we wanted to hear. Thanks for making our day. What was your highest combo?

the artwork is lovely and its a unique interpretation of "loop", I just wish there was more to play, i reached max level on all the uupgrades on the second day and nothing changed with gameplay. if the goal was to make it more like balatro then some random upgrades or cascading numbers could work great with the multiply mechanic.

eg: increase the multiplier score by 1.25 for every card in the chain instead of thhe normal 1

or: your 2 diamond cards score more if there are no 5 diamond cards in the chain

or: add a gold card to your deck, every gold card in the sequence multiplies the score.

you want to play with your existing mechanic and encourage players to experiment with things that make the game different to play, look at GMTK's wordplay for example. challenge me to use my skill to score more but at a higher risk of losing more. he doesnt do it, but balatro really likes scaling those numbers and making their players feel like they've broken the game. I feel like you really have something here, just have to dive into it. you got this! looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Thank you for playing our game, we are really appreciate it 😁

All of your comment and feedback are really on point. We plan to do many of them during the development, but due to some error in the beginning, we only had 2 day for this project.

Still, our team gonna continue polished this when the Jam is over 😁

  • very satifiying to play with a digital drawing tablet

Thanks for playing. I see you struggled in the start. I enjoyed watching you play.

Really nice game! I enjoyed how satisfying the main mechanic is and how the upgrades help the player to continue with the game core loop. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yes that was the idea with these upgrades. How many nights did you survive?

Hello! I feel like this game is definitely exploring a territory that I don’t see used often in games. the idea is pretty simple but is interesting in a way - after realizing the main challenge is not drawing the line, but managing the board in preparation for drawing the line. Though I would say that after a while it gets repetitive for me, since despite being set up like an arcade, there is no increase of challenge expect of a higher quota to meet.

Despite that, I fount the game very memorable: good job

Cool game! Gotta say my only issue was organizing the pages around, the hitboxes were a little hard to find where you can click to move and not draw on the pages, maybe could use a 'shift-click to move' feature? Otherwise nice and enjoyable!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yes, we are thinking of a similar feature. Left click to draw and right click to move.

Such a simple, yet very effective concept!
And its fun too!
I threw in too much paper and regretted it, may that be a lesson for me

Developer

Glad you had fun!

Sneak hint: You can use the fireplace above the desk to chuck extra contracts without completing them if the desk fills up too fast!

Fantastic game with really addicting loop gameplay. I was a bit confused at first but it felt really good to start chaining together 8+ paper loops to get massive scores. My only critique would be that the paper upgraders were more of a nuisance then they were helpful. When I was trying to set up a big chain, papers kept getting sucked into them and messing up my order by shooting the papers underneath others. But that's a small gripe, this game is one of the best I've seen so far in this jam.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yeah, I saw a streamer do 15 Combo and he was super energetic when he did that. The Machine needs a bit of more work and is a miss at our end. The idea and the use of them in the playstyle is really amazing just a bit of more polish and it would have been really awesome to play with as well. I just hope they didn't spoil your entire game. I saw people come up with 2-3 different style of gameplay with these machine.

Submitted(+3)

This is great! The signature mechanic is really fun and chaotic in just the right way. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. Were you able to make big combos with that?

Submitted

Not huge combos, but 4-5 pages at a time! I just need to get good 😅

Submitted(+3)

Great environment and narrative! I love putting my soul on line for a 9-to-5 job. Good game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. Haha, we were gonna go with a 9-5 style of timer but then I lost the team voting for that idea. This timer also is so fun because you get a rush feeling with it.

The shops UI was a bit hard to read and all for me but aside from that a very unique idea and very well executed.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing. Yeah we didn't get much time to work on the UX side of things. Hope it didn't affect your play style alot.

Submitted(+2)

what a creative and unique idea :O the whispers really add to the feel of the game, awesome job!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yeah after playing the game for a while I could still hear the whispers when I was away.

Really wild mashup of fruit ninja  and papers please. Maximizing chains is very fun.
Only gameplay suggestion would to make the paper grabbing be on a separate button. Sometimes when starting a swipe it misinterprets it  as a grab which breaks the flow.

Lastly the music is really great ! It that sets the vibe perfectly. Graphics are polished too.
Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing. Yes, I get your point. How about left to sign contracts but right click to move the contracts around?

Submitted

Yeah that'd be a great addition.

Submitted(+2)

Never thought that anybody could get inspired by paper please in this theme choice. Really cool aesthetics and so polished. Loved the music was really cohesive with the game. Would appreciate the effort if you  could rate my game too.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot. Yes, we will be playing your game.
