I like this game. I like the idea, it's super simple but it works. I like visuals, solid and charming. I didn't quite enjoy level design, it fails to focus on scaling imo, lvl2 completes without scaling at all. Also, once you've learned all the mechanics, levels boils down to trivial "go to each button that's reachable, then repeat until level done", and there's no much puzzle to it, it's too simple. Also I didn't know small character is invisible to cameras until last levels, because first time it would be useful I walked to the side of cameras being small, it looked like level desing implies that. There are minor QoL adjustments that could be done, like simultaneous pressing of movement and 1,2 buttons, however it's impressive that it's done in C++ on its own! Great job, thanks for making this!
P.S. I was sure character was stealing office cooler water bottle until I read the desctiption 😅

Really impressive that you built this from the ground up! You deserve some recognition for that

I agree with a few others that the player's a little slow and that the level design could benefit from being smaller and more intimate. I really enjoyed the vibe this game had though, and once again the no-engine thing is VERY impressive!

Thanks for playing and for your feedback! I might just fix the project a bit after the jam.

Interesting idea, but character moves waaaay to slow for it to be enjoyable, i think bite sized levels with big pixelart would make it great game though

interesting idea, but the player moves too slowly and the level design is a bit basic. faster moving player, automatically going to the next level, and slightly harder levels would turn this into a very cool game!

Amazing work for building it from scratch in four days! It would be nice for the player to be able to move diagonally, and I also got a bug on the final level where my movement speed would continually slow down the longer I was moving. Besides those two things, great game.

Thanks for playing! I might just fix that after the jam.

Nice work! The version with music is definitely more atmospheric. The vibe reminds me of the original XCom: UFO Defence.
