I love the idea for the game, it's easy to understand and it can be expanded in soo many ways. For example, I would've loved if I had a reason to choose a specific genome or another, as I found myself mostly choosing the same ones all the time. Very well executed nonetheless, I especially liked the diegetic / stylized UI. Great work!

One of my favourite concepts so far! You could easily build a full scale game around it I think. I also like the darker aesthetic.

It's an interesting game, I haven't seen something like this on the jam yet. Even if there's no real story presented I liked the vibes with the dark colors.

Maybe some of the genomes are more useful than others? I found myself using the dash one as much as I could because of its speed.

Well done!

The game needs a better tutorial, or something to explain how to play better.  Because it took me a while to figure this out and get the game acutaly going... Not that it mattered since the game softlocked on me...
Played for today's livestream!

Out of curiosity, how did you get softlocked?

Edit: just saw on the stream, that's really weird! Sorry that happened and glad you played.

This concept seems like it has a lot of potential, I wasn’t quite sure I understood what I was doing though, I used two dash genomes to get to one of the farther nodes and got a less valuable plant then when I used a normal genome to get to the closest node. Overall, I think if I had some more time to figure out how the game worked I would have really enjoyed it.

Really cool concept! I was going to do a similar idea where you idea the DNA of workers to upgrade them lol. The aesthetic and tone works great and feels dystopian and cyberpunk. The gameplay is alright - I wish the genome dash part had a little more going on. Maybe some more enemy or level variety? I'm not sure. Also, I think the genome selection could be clearer. I can barely tell the difference between a selected and a non-selected genome. But overall I like it a lot, especially in the aesthetic department. Great work!

We really wanted to add more levels and enemies, but ran out of time. It totally would've made the game much better. Thanks for playing!
