”” Heavily inspired by Celeste and Portal (and Portal 2), Déjà Rêvé is a– wait, I mean, it’s not perfect, but it’s certainly a not bad choice for a fan of both series! “”

As someone who enjoyed both of those games, I agree, this was pretty fun! I think that the game had a surprisingly good difficulty curve without having the later puzzles be too easy.

I think that some of the earlier levels could maybe a little less focused on difficult platforming and instead focus on the puzzle aspect (Especially the coyote time one, I agree with the person who said having a level based around coyote time kind of defeats the purpose of having coyote time in the first place).

I love the little kick that your player does to the boxes instead of just pushing them, it made them feel so much more physical and like they had real weight to them.

I read the explanation and I’m still not sure I can quite see how it fits the theme, I think maybe having each level be a small variations on the previous one would have helped.

I like the hair colour changing to represent which portal you have selected (very Celeste inspired), and I also liked that your portals didn’t reset when you died.

Overall a pretty fun game!

Really nice game, I think the puzzle clues were great!

People have already mentioned being able to spam click through all of the puzzles so I won’t talk about it too much, but…

I think that one of the main reasons I felt compelled to spam click to solve the puzzles was because the letters kept switching automatically every few seconds meaning I had trouble figuring out where in the loop I was.

Overall I think it was a really good concept and I think that if you tweak it so that the letters don’t switch automatically and fix the spam clicking thing it would make for a great game!

Also congrats on your first jam game!

Pretty fun game! Some of the coins were just slightly too high to pick up off the ground without jumping which caused me to run under them a few times without really understanding why I couldn’t pick them up, but other than that I quite enjoyed the platforming and trying to efficiently collect the coins.

Not 100% sure whether I’ll do a post jam version, but if I do I will add expanding bridge pieces and cars as some of the main new features.

I really liked this game, the idea was nice and simple and felt like it was explored fully.

Cool game, I like the concept. There were a few times where I swiped the fruit and it didn’t cut, but other than that it was good

I really like the idea, I wish it would show the map during the navigation stage because I couldn’t figure out why my character kept running into the wall which I was pretty sure I had marked as a wall. Other than that the game felt very polished.

Nice game, I think the levels might have been out of order because level 5 taught scaling Kaijus but the early levels used this mechanic which took me a while to figure out. Other than that it was really fun.

This concept seems like it has a lot of potential, I wasn’t quite sure I understood what I was doing though, I used two dash genomes to get to one of the farther nodes and got a less valuable plant then when I used a normal genome to get to the closest node. Overall, I think if I had some more time to figure out how the game worked I would have really enjoyed it.

Very addictive lol. My only complaint is that it felt a bit difficult to click the guests sometimes although that might just be my laptop’s trackpad.

Interesting concept, I liked the little minigame thing between levels. It was a little hard to tell which buildings were which based on the map.

I liked the puzzles, they felt satisfying to complete. I wish there was some other way to control the blocks instead of hovering your mouse over them though.

There’s something about this game that I really like. It would be cool to see a full version at some point with the ideas more fully explored. I enjoyed trying to do the levels as fast as I could. As for some improvements I think it could use some square hitboxes on the objects because I felt like I was constantly slipping off of them.

The losing pixels effect is done using a shader which removes pixels based on their color and sets the remaining pixels to be a solid color.

If you could rate my team’s game that would be great!

Interesting game. Had a similar idea to mine but it was cool to see how much of a different direction it went in.

Nice and simple game!

Really unique game. I wasn't a huge fan of the controls but other than that it was quite good

Cool concept! I wish the game was a bit longer

Couldn't really understand what to do but I love the image in the page description that tells you the controls!

It's really enjoyable, I just wish there was something to make it so the best strategy wasn't just to click really fast.

The music and sound effects felt super satisfying, I just wish there was a little more variation to the gameplay.

I really love the idea. The sound effects and art are amazing. I just wish there was some incentive to move away from the edges of the screen when playing.

I really enjoyed the game, the art was great and the final puzzle was super satisfying to pull off.

Amazing game! I really love how the controls force you to move your mouse in interesting ways. I just wish the area where you could grab the spinny controls was a bit bigger as I found myself struggling to grab them sometimes. Overall once I got the hang of it it was really fun!

Thanks!

Thank you!

Really enjoyable game. I'm curious how the clouds are made, are they particles? The level design is also great although I wish the puzzles were a bit harder.

Fun game! I wish there was a way to pause the robot's movements.

A simple idea that is very well executed. I love it! It's the perfect level of complexity and difficulty and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time!

Really fun game I just wish that the asteroids wouldn't be destroyed while I was holding them.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks!

Ya, I have the same problem, too bad.

The concept is very well executed in my opinion. The person talking to you really brings it together! I feel like the difficulty curve is a bit to steep but overall I enjoyed it.

Interesting concept. I like the addition of a second ball after a certain amount of time passes. I wish the ball couldn't aim directly at my net when it spawns though.

Nice!

Really neat idea! Too bad you ran out of time because I think it would be a great game if it had a bit more polish. I also like that the character can block the guard's light beams, it's a cool effect.
