The style and atmosphere of this game are more similar to UEBS or TABS than to traditional RTS games. Many modern RTS games use a simpler style, making it easier to see enemies, buildings, and other stuff.

Anyway this game is huge. It's almost impossible to create a flawless game of this scale in just 4 days, which, with the fact that it doesn't really fit the theme, makes me lowkey think its a pre-built game.

Let me assure you, it was not pre-built. We are experienced full time game developers. We took the "scale" aspect of the game a bit to literally xD

Our previous years submission to this game jam was #14 which gave us a bit to much confidence, so we bit of a bit more than we can chew on this one.

We need a resurgence of the 90s RTS!

Pretty fun RTS game. But unfortunately it crashes way too much.

Developer

did you download the game? Unfortunately webgl doesn't work well with our terrain shader XD

Fun tactics game, the map was far bigger than I expected it to be and the environment was nicely done, I wish there would've been a few more troop types but making an rts in 4 day is already incredibly impressive.

This was an ambitious project and I think it worked out pretty well! Good spacing of enemies to teach the player mechanics naturally. Hard to critique such a big game in 4 days without it feeling like obvious stuff you probably already know but ill give my few points.

- For some, it would be useful to have a bit more direction, I've never played an rts so I was lost

- More types of troops to send would be great. Even if you just had a light and a heavy for the jam, ranged would be tough in the time constraint

- Something to visually show the enemies would help to know when they are all dead, I just waited until my troops looks like they weren't swinging anymore

That's great feedback, thank you! I always like getting perspective from people who may not have played a genre. I have played so many RTS games throughout my life that I have blinders for the first time experience haha

You are borderline insane for attempting to make a fully fledged RTS game in 4 days, but I'm glad it all worked out in the end. :D Well done!

Developer

haha thanks! was definitely a fun challenge XD

Great Job all! Had a great time playing it and the visuals were great. The background music was awesome as well.

Developer

Eyyy thanks! I finally got the music done pretty late monday night lol

Wow, insane scope for a jam! Nice work :)

Developer

Thanks! Haha we definitely went ambitious on this one XD

This game is amazing, especially for 4 days! Because I play on laptop I wasn't able to orbit the camera which made it harder to play, but I was able to move units, make the big guy and kill enemies. It was interesting to play an RTS with no UI, honestly kind of refreshing but a minimap would have been really helpful.

Developer

Thank you so much! Yeah we were really surprised by how fun it is with what we were able to put in XD

Submitted(+4)

It looks freaking gorgeous, but I can't seem to select any units :(

Developer(+1)

thank you! the selection can be difficult if they're not on even ground, you have to select like a really low point to make sure it gets em 😅

Submitted(+3)

Really cool, but had some crashes, even on the desktop version sadly :(

Hope you will release updates after the jam !!

Developer(+2)

Thank you for playing! We ran out of time to properly test everything unfortunately :(
