Very fun! Got me sunk in for a bunch of time.
Also, I think medals operate on "score > requiredScore" instead of "score >= requiredScore" and I didn't get a medal I deserved, once :(
Very cool puzzle! Simple rules, complex consequences. You managed to make a very gradual introduction of mechanics and difficulty increase, feels nice in flow to play. I like level of detail in visuals, effects and animations, it feels very satisfying to watch the squares pop at the end of the level, enhances the experience a lot. You did a great job, congrats!
This game is super cool, making the rules that circles can't contain each other, and you can't contain red blocks in the circles really makes for an interesting puzzle game. The order of your circles really seems to matter! This game is super juicy too, the sound effects add great impact but they aren't distracting. Awesome job!
This was awesome!! great job!
Interesting puzzle mechanic that motivates careful considerations and strategy! The only thing I would wish to be different would be the number of levels as I feel I want MOOOOREE!!! Great Job!
Super good fit for the theme, clever core mechanic, and really nice implementation. The UI makes it easy to see what's going on and I never felt like I didn't understand the solution to each puzzle after I figured it out. I really like the "vector graphic" style of most of the game, but I feel like the pixelated elements didn't really fit in. Overall really nice game with great level design!
Perfect fit for the theme of the jam and really fun. I just think it felt like the possible size of the circles was kinda random, maybe clarifying their size limit more clearly would be good. But still, great submission.
Really creative puzzle game and fits the theme perfectly! I had fun but either I missed the directions or some of the mechanics were left unexplained, which was confusing, because the tutorial levels were perfect. Game crashed on me a few times, but I booted it back up to keep playing. Nice work!
Nice simple style and very straight to the point, I like it. The puzzles were fun
Interesting take on the theme :)
Though the game was simplistic it was enjoying to some degree.
Loved the simplicity! A very fun take on the theme. I believe that with some polishes and adding some shinny visuals it could be a great full game! Congrats!
Really unique idea. It's really simple, but I prefer overly complicated games. It's definitely also a twist on the scale mechanic I haven't seen thus far. Good job! The animations and stuff also feel really satisfying to play.
The only improvement I can think of is that I am not totally sure when you get the different kinds of medals; maybe that's something to make a bit clearer.
Besides that, it's a really cute and charming game. Good job!
Simple but fun, Well Done!
Clean polished game. I could see this being a nice mobile game too!
Some more feedback on when red squares were contained could be nice (some sort of shake) vs other reasons the circle stops growing could be nice and help the player. Again, maybe two circles colliding shaking, things like this.
Great work overall! I like the variety in levels, there were always new blocks introduced which kept me engaged.
Simple but very nice. Very in line with the theme of the Jam, I found it very relaxing to play.
Really creative puzzle game. I ended up playing this a lot longer than I thought I would. Great variety in blocks and strategies throughout the levels. Fantastic game design!
Not to mention everything felt very polished! The interactions and feedback for the player is great. Music/SFX is on point. I'm very impressed with this for a 4 day game jam. Really nicely done!
Fun game, and the fact it was made entirely in Pygame is crazy cool!
- It has a clear and coherent minimalist style, from the graphics to the choice of sfx and music. The animations of the blocks flying in at the start of each level is super polished and smooth!!
- It is a good fit for the theme and the main mechanic is creative enough that I haven't seen it anywhere else.
- The reminder text does not do a good enough job of clearly explaining the mechanics. It took me until level 9 to finally figure out what the numbers meant and how to get a higher score. Same thing with the extra circles mechanic, didnt realise it was a thing until level 8. And the fact that circles can't collide with each other was never told to the player, I was very confused as to why my circles were being forced to stop expanding until I realised that fact.
- The ability to skip levels is nice, but I think there should be a reminder for that somewhere on the HUD of each level, as right now the only spot where the player is told that is on a piece of text in level 4 that no-one's gonna read...
Overall a really polished and unique experience, well done!
Very very nice and polished, love it. Had fun playing it! amazing job :D
Very fun little game with a surprising amount of levels for a game jam! I got 9/16 gold medals on my first play through without retrying any levels, I'll probably come back to this and try to get every gold when the jam is over (got other games to play and rate for now). Nice and simple but made me want to keep playing! Perfect amount of juice without being over the top, great submission GG
Quite an interesting and addictive game. it would be perfect for a mobile version with better sprites. i hope you plan on making a full game in the future. Good job and good luck
