This is really awesome and an impressive job for 48 hours! Reminds me very much of trying to construct a D&D encounter to make it fun AND fair, lol. I loved the presentation style - esp the first person view - and the humour was also great in the intro. A really solid and rounded entry to the jam that you should be proud of! 😎
I actually really enjoyed this quite a bit! There is something oddly therapeutic about putting the levels together. The little first person camera was a great choice too, made it more fun to check how much time I had. If you wanted to expand the concept, getting to choose items for the shop would be pretty neat too.
I liked the first person view art a lot! It was fun to create a path for the player and to be able to create my own difficulty by giving the hero speed up buffs :)
I like the idea (probably because our concepts are in the same family and the title of your game is one we considered too, so i must be biased a bit) i would have liked to see in more detail the stats of the adventurer and the final boss, to plan accordingly, here i feel like i'm making some choices in the dark (unless i missed something ?) also being able to pause or more importantly accelerate time would have been nice.
We recognized the stat issue pretty late into development and didn't have time to fix it unfortunately. However the time manipulation was something I intentionally didn't add. You can give the player speed ups through the shop to make the game go faster, but you risk not being able to keep up in the later levels if you do that, and pausing would remove an integral part of the challenge. I appreciate the feedback, and I'll definitely be checking out your take on the overall concept.
I like the execution, it's nice to race against the player. The "steam reviews" at the end are great ways to feedback where we went wrong!
Glad you liked it, thanks!
Wow, this game is great! I really enjoyed the narrative you created. The humor was great, and the gameplay was fun. Great job!
I did have a little bit of trouble understanding the UI, even with the intro, but that's small potatoes in my book. Be proud of this one!
I'm glad you liked it so much! I wanted the intro to be a little more in depth, but due to time it never got fully realized. I am quite proud of this one, thanks!
