How does your game fit the theme?
You are a Duck in Hell. At first you are the prey and the demons are the predators. But it all changes when you stumble upon the Knife. The roles are reversed as you can now hunt down the demons. You are no longer the prey, you are now the predator.

Hello! I am on a mission to play all the fellow “duck” games of the jam.

Platforming felt pretty good, but once I had the knife with the very short range, it got really difficult. Couldn’t quite slay any demons. Still, it’s a fun idea and it looked really pretty! Great work!

I had fun. The controls are good for platforming but a bit imprecise when hitting demons. Combined with the knife's short range i found them pretty tough to kill. Giving a bit more hitpoints to duck and less to demons would perhaps make it feel more fair. Also wish the it had a bit more accurate hitboxes and feedback when getting hit. I enjoyed how the demons chase you, it adds quite some challenge.

Also, if he ever gets the time please tell your duck to rescue my mine :)

Fun game, satisfying jumps, also well done on the tile set looks good. Would have liked more range on the knife but otherwise great.

The movement was smooth, it was hard making the jumps sometimes but other wise was good. enemy spawning worked well and so did most of the enemies movements

Getting the knife didn't feel like the roles were reversed as you are still the one being hunted but now you can defend yourself. 

the hitboxes were janky, with a small knife and enemies killing you while not touching you, you also die instantly which is punishing but death is delayed which can be annoying as its not exactly when you were hit.

overall a decent game, with some better hitboxes and maybe a health system it would be fun to play however it does not feel that unique an the overarching concept and gameplay loop has been done before.

I agree with you. I really should have set my priorities straight before jumping in the development and even before that I should've come up with a better idea that fits the jam.

I thought 48 hours would be enough to make something complete but I was wrong xD. Nonetheless, I did learn a lot during the period of the jam.

I'm excited to see what others have cooked up during these 2 days.
