Cool arcade game. Animations and art are nice. It could’ve used a little more game juice. Nonetheless, nice work!

Fair points. I really did want to add more enemies (4 in total) but I was out of time. As for the odds, they are truly random 50/50 which, I too feel like it shouldn’t be like that. Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I’m really glad you had fun! :D

Thank you! :D

I’ll try explaining in Godot terms since that’s the engine I’ve used. The entire game has a ColorRect as an overlay and it’s got a shader on it. That shader is a modified version of this one: https://godotshaders.com/shader/2d-drop-shadow/

Nice concept. It’s held back by the controls. I wish it was easier to switch the two characters. Nonetheless, cool interpretation of the theme. Good job!

Ah I see what you’re saying. That’s an interesting take on the mechanic. It definitely incentivizes gambling. I’ll have to tuck this idea in my notebook for if I try to make a full post jam version of the game. Thanks for explaining!

If by splash you mean the enemy death and projectile death effects, then yes, they are particles.

I agree! I might update/remake this game with all of my new learnings. Thanks for playing!

Super chill game. The art and music are sooo good. The game design of how if you want a particular fish, you’re trying to avoid the others like a bullet hell is great. Overall, it was really fun and engaging! Nice work!

Awesome collection of mini-games. Music is very cool and so is the art. At the start of every new mini-game I would get confused a bit. Perhaps highlighting the thing / button you’re supposed to press would be a great addition to prevent that from happening. Cool game!

Interesting controls, took some time to get used to it. The music was a vibe, felt very fitting for the theme of the game. Adding some more game feel when you catch a chicken could help improve the game. All and all, it’s a fun arcade game. Good work!

Double Dare Monster Hunters for life!! Cute little game, the monster animations look really nice. I hope you guys had a lot of fun making this. Good job, keep it up!!

The mechanical depth, content and polish is mind-blowing. The UI felt a bit daunting at first but once I played through once I realized what everything meant. I really hope you make a full post jam version of the game. Great work, keep it up!!

I had the game playing in the background with the music for over 15 mins before I started playing haha. Super nice music and sound effects. Amazing art as well. The game could easily be expanded by having other cards added to your “deck” that do things when flipped over, something like – Dog: When flipped over will point to a card adjacent to a Cat. That’s just a random idea though, what I mean is some more mechanical depth so the game is not purely luck based could go a long way. Nice game, nice work!

Let’s gooo! I agree with you, doubling down on a perk is super tempting. Thank you for playing!! :D

I’m glad you liked it! I might make a full post jam version of the game adding more enemies and other things that it’s missing.

The gambling odds are 50/50 and they are truly random so it’s leads to high highs of getting lucky multiple times in a row and low lows of getting unlucky. Something I might try to fix later.

Thank you for playing! :)

Thanks a lot!! :D

Thank you for playing, I’m glad you liked it! :) PS: Gamble is not necessary, you can take the base perk as is if you “continue”.

I like the concept a lot. The controls are not conventional but that’s a plus in my eyes. It made me want to move strategically to attack. The difficulty is a bit too much as colliding with an enemy seems enough to one-shot you. With a bit of stat tweaking for the players and the enemies and a UI overhaul, this could be a pretty fun game. Nice work!!

Art looks sick! The player controller is nice for running but wall jumping is quite hard. Also, it felt like the AI character is a pro at the game haha. Really interesting concept though, good job!!

I agree with you, having at least one more enemy type and some sound effects + music could’ve made the game a lot better of an experience. Sadly, I didn’t have enough time left (and was very tired too haha).

Not sure what you mean by “having a high chance of getting a weaker power-up…” – when you pick a perk, if you continue immediately without gambling, you get to keep the base perk. And the gamble odds are 50/50. But you’re right, there could be something done to the odds so they start off in favour of the player and keep decreasing as you gamble.

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for playing!!

Thank you very much! :D

This is my type of game, I really enjoyed it. The music was fantastic. The art style is coherent. Nice use of the limitation as well. Very well done!! PS: Make it a full game with more choices/upgrades!

This game feels like an amalgam of Slay the Spire and Blackjack and I really like that. The presentation could’ve been better, for example, using a stylized font could’ve made a big improvement. Great game design, though. All things considered, really cool game. Keep it up!!

Thank you very much!! I have pushed a minor update, upping the difficulty.

Guess I’m better than the other 127 snakes xD

Nice game, the concept is very unique - snake battle royale! Towards the end I was thinking, the snake can’t get any bigger than this and it still got bigger. Good work!

I really did want to put more enemies - I had 4 different types in mind but I didn’t have the time to make them all. Same for the sound effects and music :(

I did, however, push out a small update to balance the game a bit and upped the difficulty. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Great game and a unique mechanic. The levels were actually quite difficult for me but that’s what I liked about it. I especially like that you are not punished for not making it in time and instead are allowed to continue to progress. I would’ve been raging if it weren’t for this. Cool music too! Good job :D

highest score yet! thanks for playing :)

Thank you so much! I'm thinking about making more of this!

Nice idea! The player controller could use some work but really cool concept!

Really nice implementation of the theme! Rarely do you see this type of game. Loved the aesthetic of the game. Keep it up!

Thank you so much!

Thanks a lot!!

Really cool game. Cool mechanics as well. Had a hard time with the unnatural controls but good game overall.

Really good game -- it's one of those easy to learn, hard to master types and I like it. Great use of the theme!

A fully packaged game! I really liked the core mechanic! Well done!

Really good implementation of the theme -- makes for some quick memorization. Great gameplay as well. Keep it up!

I wish I could've made more levels. Maybe, I turn this into a full game >~<

There's a little jump count indicator on the top left! Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for your feedback! I haven't ran into that strange bug yet but someone else mentioned it too.
