That was a cute story! I like how it's told through a gale of hide and seek. It creates a charming universe in a very short time.

The game is really promising! I liked the concept and the overall feel of the game, and I am looking forward to seeing an expanded version.

Developer

Thank you!

We do have plans for an extended version, so please subscribe to be the first to play it and follow our progress

Neat idea! Wish it was expanded on more though.

Developer(+1)

I liked the idea the moment the game's co-creator shared it.

We will be making an expanded version of the game using a different engine. I'm in the process of learning both the programming language (Rust) and the engine (Bevy)

I would be humbled to get a subscription here on itch so you can see our extended version

Cute game with cute idea. Music is pretty weird though for such a cute game

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

We tried going for a spooky festive music vibe and found those tracks on EpidemicSound. We'll work with a composer on the extended version to hopefully find a fitting mood for the game

Aww, the ghost went away.

I remember having issues understanding what was going on the first time I played, but when replaying it it didn't actually seem unclear, so I'm not sure exactly what my issue was.

Developer

I've had feedback from people who are rarely playing games. If you remember it further down the line, I'd be happy to hear it.

We have plans to tweak the game (in the extended version) so it is more approachable.

Really fun, cute and original idea. Would love to see more after the jam!

Developer(+1)

Happy to hear!
I'm currently learning Rust (a programming language, 80% of syntax tutorials are done already) and will start making an extended version of the game using Bevy (a game engine that uses Rust)

A short but sweet game! I liked how the gameplay ended up feeling like a stealth game, trying to stay out of the ghost's line of sight. Good work!

Developer

Thank you!

Making it a stealth game was one of the key ideas, but the spotting mechanic only came together during the last 2.5 hours of development. I've already made a fail-state and a restart but didn't find a good way to trigger the fail-state.

I'm so happy it came together in the end!

So cute! So thats how you get rid of ghosts?

Developer(+1)

Absolutely!
This is but one of the ways to get rid of ghosts. We are likely to expand on this idea further to find other ways the main heroine has fun scaring ghosts. She will definitely need to find other creative ways of doing so!

Submitted

Short and sweet. Funny concept!

Developer

Thank you!

I liked the concept immediately after the game's co-creator suggested it, so we ran with it from start to finish!

Submitted(+1)

very good take on the Roles Reversed theme!

short and simple, was a pleasure to play :) would love to have more types of interactions with the ghosts, maybe some inventory as well. and maybe even some story!

nicely done ^^

Developer

We definitely have in mind an expansion of sorts - too many features ended up on a cutting floor and only being suggested at
Thankfully, we've got a few people who gave us feedback with ideas we didn't even think of, one of which I'd call a setpiece because of its complexity

Submitted(+1)

Great game! Loved the concept! Despite the brevity, it was really polished, which is cool.

Submitted(+1)

Cool game and I loved the concept! Wish the game was a bit longer but I understand that you had to chose between polishing and length so lots of respect!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

I immediately liked the concept when the game's co-creator suggested it, so we ran with it from that point onward.
You are entirely correct. Our goal was primarily to make a bug-free approachable game, and we had to ruthlessly cut features to get a finished game with a menu and credits.
I have a memory: I made the core of the game without the animations. I had a very focused concept for the game, but the game didn't show it to the player.

The art , sounds, and feel of the game are great. Its really short, and I feel like there's a lot more room to explore the really neat concept and cute idea!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words!
I agree that the potential of this concept is barely touched, we are thinking of expanding the game further in the future

Cute game

Cool idea and very cute dialogue, wish the game was a little bit longer though, I feel that the idea could be explored even further.

Developer

Thank you for the warm welcome of our prototype game!

We love the idea my co-creator had come up with too, but we could only do the bare minimum during the 48 hours.

We're planning (no release date yet) to make a bigger game out of it, using a different engine and making it mobile-friendly (clicking, moving around and choosing dialogue options shouldn't be limited to desktop). I'll need to learn a different engine for that.

If you have any ideas on what the adventures of that girl and her family be - feel free to write your suggestions!

Wwwwooohhhoooo! Nice game!!!!! Really fun!!😉
