How does your game fit the theme?
We interpreted the theme of Joined Together as independent objects that, when connected, take a different meaning and interpretation. In Starsnap, you take photos to isolate shooting stars, which then you connect to create constellations for points. With the randomizing of stars, objects around, and different names, no constellation is ever the same, so each group of stars, joined together, are unique. At the end of the game, you have your very own sky made of joined constellations, that’s uniquely yours to export and share with others! Show us your own sky and wallpapers in the comments! ✨

Absolutely lovely little game!
Felt very relaxing to play in a casual manner, quite enjoyed just taking in what was going on and waiting for the right moment to take the perfect lil snap.
Did wish that I could do something with the points I was harvesting, although that honestly sounds outside of the scope of this jam.
All in all, really like what you made here!
Funny that you mention it, since we originally intended to let the player buy stickers at the end of the run to spice up the wallpaper. But alas, jam-time is jam-time. We created the objects around the map to more or less compensate for that.

Really polished game! Amazing result for a game jam! Loved all the attention to details, even the menu looks amazing! Particularly interesting because we also went for a constellation based game, but we took a completely different approach. This concept was very appropriate for the theme. I loved the idea of snapping pictures and saving the constellations. Easy to learn and well-executed!

As for that last bit, we're sorry! It's a bug some people have been encountering it. We'll check on it and have it fixed after the jam's voting phase is done! We really would like for more people to share their creations, so it's a bit disappointing that some people can't show them around properly because of said problem. But even then, we're glad people still enjoy it! 👍
My favorite game I've played from this jam so far, it's such a relaxed and wholesome experience and a truly stellar take on the theme, I have no idea where you got the inspiration from, but, bravo!

As for inspirations, there were a few games we knew that were about connecting points in some fashion, but the one that was most prominent for our inspiration was Longest Night, of which we took inspiration in some visuals and music. We highly recommend giving it a try! ✨
