It's an excellent platformer, it's an amazing platformer for 48 hours!   Definitely would tighten up the movement a little,  there was a few times I missed jumping up a step cause I was too close and turned backwards with a feather touch and end up in the fire.     I actually really like the fire mechanic and the way it all works.   Great game, can't wait to see the post jam experience.

Great concept for the game, I really liked it. I also liked the music a lot, well done!

Ok, I tested this game a lot because I really like it so it's going to be quite long.

First of all, it's the the most challenging game I faced in computer games and I really liked it. I managed to get to the last building (I think it's the last one because after it to the right it's just gray screen) but I never managed to finish the game! I think there is a problem at the end with how close the steps are because it felt like no matter what I do I can't climb to one of the steps, the character gets stuck, which was disappointing. The gameplay is smooth most of the time, sometimes he gets stuck in place and can only jump, also on the edge of things but then he can jump out of it. The design was nicely made, some of the buildings were floating a bit in the air but the windows, the building, the fire, I loved it, also the character sprites were nice. The music was quite nice, the idea was really good and the story well made. I hope to get the game when it's possible to finish it to see what happens in the end.

Well done!

Thanks so much for your long comment and playing the game to it's current end! We are definitely planning on making the game possible to be finished and to fix the corner glitch. We only left an hour for level design and no time at all for playtesting which was our real mistake. This was our first game jam and we're looking forward to fleshing out Blobert's little world! If you check back sometime soon after the jam the game will definitely be bigger and have more polish.

Pretty good, but the platforming could use a little work. Maybe coyote time and variable height jumping would help. I wish there were some checkpoints, too. Nice job :)

Nice Idea, but good platforming is hard, no coyote time + friction on boardes makes it hard to get a clean feeling, as well as the fire, which you don't want to touch because if you do, it is mostly RNG if you get out of it and dousing yourself while being in the fire

cool game but the controls didn't feel so tight. I also think the game could use some coyote time ^^

Nice game ! The idea is fun and the overall polish of the game is nice (music and art). Small detail could be improve in terms of level design : Avoid Blind Jump, make the difficulty go up smoothly and add a bit of checkpoint.

Good entry overall ! Hope to play your next game!

Nice and simple game. Platforming is a bit wonky. It needs some sort of ledge grab mechanic  since you can get stuck in corners quite often.  Another recommendation would be to decrease the amount of blind jumps (the player cannot see where the next safe platform is in some areas).

I also made a platformer.
