How does your game fit the theme?
Slight uncontrollable physics movement. Developer, me, is not in control of the player's progression through the levels: players can switch levels freely while staying in the same place.

The idea of switching levels in order to progress further is incredible and unique, I liked it a lot, well done!
It took me a bit to understand that I had to switch between levels, but it was cool once I got it! It would have been cool to have more variety in the levels, but I liked the use of physics based obstacles.
If my son ever tells me one day that he want's to become a cube when he grows up because cubes lead a simple life, I will tell him that the world can be so unpredictable from time to time and even a cubes life can be a hard one.
I think the gameplay is quite original and could be interesting if further developed, maybe including a tool tip text somewhere in the UI like .. press esc for options or to tell the player what they are actually doing when that control board pops up in the beginning actually does :D.
anyway, It looks great and it's got potential so as a prototype it functions rather well!. GJ
Thanks a lot, and a good leason to teach your children.
I am very much in thinking of making this into a puzzle platformers in which each level would have a few sublevels you could freely change between and would need to, to solve the level.
And yes, the mechanic of switching level would have to be introduced very obviously to the player.
Thanks for the feedback!
A small cube kept spawn killing me so I rage quit. 10/10
Hmm, I'm not sure if I'm understanding the game right-
Are you supposed to get the small cubes in the right spots to be able to get over the walls, or is there some other way to get over the walls? I'm a bit stuck on most of the levels at the moment, because waiting for a small cube to land in the right spot without falling off is a bit of a tedious mechanic if that's what I'm supposed to be doing for each wall..
Controlling the cube feels fun and just goofy enough, that if that was the only "out of control" mechanic I think it would serve the game better as the focus.
You are supposed to change level, in which there is no wall and go forward. Only obstacles are changed on level switch, so you stay in the same position.
It was meant as the game/developer not being in control of the player's progression, like many platformers that have simple linear progression.
Ahh, that's a very interesting mechanic! Sorry I didn't notice it. Maybe some way to make that clearer in game would be a good change for the future. Very nice overall tho!
Very fun game. I think a simple sentence describing the mechanics in the game would be nice, it wasn't clear at first how to get past the wall.
Should be the 2nd sentence on the game page and also described in the "how does this game fit the theme" on the submission/rating page. But I maybe I should describe it in game, or what?
I was mostly thinking about players who download it and play later without the game page open. It is a very fun concept that I would love to see as a full-length game.
Ah yes. I'm very likely expanding this and thinking about making it a puzzle platformer. Each level would have a few "sublevels" that you change between (like the current switching level mechanic). I would then make the switching of sublevels into an action in the game and not in the UI.
I like main mechanic with switching levels, but small cubes sometimes distract. Nice graphic and interesting concept.
Do you think it would have worked better if the small cubes were only shot in a specific area, and turn it into a sort of obstacle to get through?
Awesome game! But I think the small cubes are just distracting from the main concept! I thought this to be a puzzle game from its premise, but it turned into a rage game quickly haha :D
Thanks for the feedback, it could definitely have been made into more of a puzzle game, and I think the switching levels mechanic would fit that well. Right now, it was only meant as freedom for the player.
Good game overall. Getting to the finish line felt satisfying and there are many levels to play. Very good!
Thanks! How did you like that you could freely change levels and stay in the same location? It was meant as part of the theme, but I am unsure how fun of a mechanic it turned out to be.
Oh, I liked it! If I got frustrated I could just go to another level and come back. Good job again!
Good job getting your cube game to a finish line! :D I would love to see this expanded into a bigger game, in the vein of "Balance". Think there's something in there, with this rounded cube.
