You're a captain trying to maneuver a spaceship crashing down, buying time to evacuate its compliment and save lives! But as you evacuate more crew, the faster the ship fails, because without a crew, you're out of control.

I really, really, really like this, seriously good job!

Like others have said it was very tricky to understand at first but then I saw your earlier comment and it clicked and it became much more enjoyable! Would love to see this expanded upon and take place over a longer time period, a slow burn of gradually risng tension as your crew dwindles and the crises mount would be fantastic.

This is one of my favourite games of the jam and will keeping it around to dip into every now and then. :)

Absolutely nailed the theme as well. Bravo!

I didn't manage to understand completely how to play, but the presentation was really good. By the way! You got highlighted on the latest GMTK Stream, you lucky! My team also played your game on my latest stream on Twitch, in case you want to see us playing (In Spanish!).

Really cool take on the theme, it was a bit hard getting into at first but very interesting after I got the hang of it. Great job!

It took some getting used to but I definitely felt out of control. I noticed that I couldn't click as fast as necessary for some tasks, like the game wasn't registering all my clicks.

It is so complicated! But Man i felt the pressure and emotions! What a clever game! WOW!

Thank you for playing! That's the feeling we were going for: being a captain in distress, with tons of lives on your hands and having to keep your cool. ;)

Once you got the logic, the game is actually fun and interesting: creates a good atmosphere and depth in just a few seconds. A tutorial would be great, and a minor gripe UI-related, it would be great to explore the possibilities to avoid the current target being moved down when the new objective arrives. Great work!

As noted by others the game throws you into the deep end a bit too quickly, the rapidly changing alerts means there isn't any time to figure out what you're supposed to do. A short tutorial and a bit more clarity in the feedback would go a long way!

For example I kept assigning the coloured crew members that matched the notifications, but everything was so quick I couldn't tell what the result of my actions was, the notification would just disappear along with a sound effect & a flash as the message disppears. I couldn't tell if this meant the situation was resolved, if I got my crew members back, or how it affected my health.

The game seems well made with nice pixel art, I just think its a case of not tuning the game for players who won't have any prior experience to the game, unlike the developers who know their own game and the intentions behind everything.

I hope you don't take these criticisms too harshly as I can tell the game has been carefully crafted and if I could figure out what was going on I'm sure it'd be a much more positive review. Regardless, good job on making this in 48 hours!

Woah thank you so much for this feedback. We absolutely adore and value criticism like this. You've inspired us to go back to the game and work some more on it. Add a tutorial, add better icons, polish how alerts show up and the UX on how your crew members are assigned, un-assigned and evacuated. Thank you thank you thank you!

Amazing!

This game really made me remember this "How many scientists you need to change password - assign 15, let's see if they manage". After re-reading the description I got the essense of the game, cuz inside the game it is really hard to get it from the get go. Arts are superb, core idea is also nice. The only thing I lacked is difficulty - after you are getting the sense of game you are just assigning all crew member to appropriate colour - it works all the time. Also very nice fit to the theme! Good job!

Thank you very much for playing and for your comment! It was really fun working on this one and thanks to feedback like yours we're already looking forward to go back and work on the game to improve it and expand it. Cheers!

HOW TO PLAY:

On the left, the different crisis affecting the starship will begin to show up. You, as a captain, need to assign the proper specialist to each task to try to solve it before the time runs out and the crisis takes a toll on the ship integrity, applying the penalty described on the card.

The matching color specialists solve their tasks faster. Some of the non-matching specialists solve it half as fast. And the other does nothing. It is up to you to keep calm and manage your crew to solve as many crisis as possible before the ship falls down.

And don't forget to save lives! Even though this will leave you with less crew members to help you solve the many crisis. You'll see this reflected as your control rate goes down.

Very interesting idea with nice art, however it was very hard to know what was going on and there was no time to think. Keep it up!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for your comment! Yes, you're right. Trying to go for the "you have to keep your calm" kind of game needs a lot of fine tuning!

I was a bit overwhelmed and am still not sure what I am actually doing. Whenever I try to understand a UI Element, another is taking its place. Not sure how to play :(

Developer(+1)

You're right. We totally missed a thorough explanation of the rather complex UI and the oncoming barrage of crisis. I've posted some instructions on the game's page, if you'd like to try again. Thank you very much for your feedback!

A little confusing with no instructions, but interesting idea.

Developer(+1)

True, we missed the instructions. Sorry for that! We've posted them on the game's page. Thank you for playing!
