That's an awesome jam game! I loved the intro and the art, so cute. The background kind of reminds me of what I used in my game actually :D. Funny enough the only feedback I'd want to give you is the same one that I got. Namely to add some sort of indicator where it is you're trying to go. As it is, I was blindly walking my robot in random directions, with not being able to see where it would lead until after I made the choice.
Great job overall though! The inclusion of a level editor is really impressive for a jam game! Super well done
Thanks a lot for the feedback! Yeah, an indication of where the finish line is is a good idea. Maybe in the form of a compass, or an arrow circling around the main character that points in the right direction? Thanks again!
For example! Maybe the camera can start on where you want to go and then pan back to where the character is. I don't think the player needs a constant direction, but just a vague idea of where to go would already help.
This art was so good in this game! I didn't understand that I needed to load levels at first, but once I figured that out it was a really fun puzzler. Also, I spent a lot of time in the level designer, that's a really cool feature to add to a jam game, and it was really easy to use. I wish that I could click and drag components, though, that would make it a little easier to design levels, and it would also be nice to have an, "Are you sure you want to clear your stage?" prompt or something when you hit esc. Otherwise, this was a nice game, good work!
Thanks so much Brandon! Yes the loading of levels and the level editor itself could use some "quality of life" updates, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I like this idea quite a bit! I like the challenge presented by the dark lighting, and all but needing to go down some wrong paths just to get a mental map of the level. I can always appreciate some exploration elements in a jam game. Art style is pretty neat, and I liked the comic/storyboard at the start. Nice job!
Thanks a lot for the kind words! :D It means a lot!
The game-play's got a nice feel to it, even if everything's a bit boxy, and the idea of making your own levels is good fun. However the dark lighting makes the game feel unusually claustrophobic.
Thanks a lot! :) Yeah I could've also zoomed the game further in to restrict your view instead of the darkness... Good idea!
the saving is buggy and i was confused on what to do
Do you want to elaborate? Was the gameplay unclear? You use your mouse to click on certain blocks to change them, so that you can guide the robot to the finish :)
