I feel like this could have been a lot more fun with some kind of timer letting you know how long until your weapon switches, along with maybe an indicator of what your next weapon will be. Shortening the timer would also help.

Also using a different random method would help, I had a very long streak of getting the pulse weapon (like maybe 10 or so in a row?). A bag randomizer might be better here.

Overall *extremely* good for a first game! Keep it up!

Developer

I probably should have anticipated the randomize giving the same weapon that its randomizing from and excluding that one, lol. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll be sure to learn about a bag randomizer and do that next time!

Thanks for your feedback and for playing! ^^

Pretty good polish and art! It is possible to run past all the enemies while taking little damage, so that would be something to keep in mind in the future

Developer

Thank you! And yes, I maybe should have added blocker units for cases like that, thanks for the feedback though!

I seemed to keep encountering a bug that meant "Energy" didn't recharge, so once it was gone I couldn't shoot anymore. Add on to that the big guy in room 4(?) who kept jumping on me (and killing me) the second I walked through the door into range, meant I couldn't see more of the game or even complete it.

Looks great, but a few balance issues and bugs bring it down a bit.

Developer

Sorry about the bug! The timer for energy recharge resets whenever the player presses the shoot button, but i didn't have the foresight to ignore the button presses once the energy has been fully drained! I'll keep stuff like this in mind for my nest game!

And yes, the "boss" was maybe a bit too hard for the scope of the game and the resources the player has.

Thank you for all your feedback!

Interesting idea, amazed at the art you managed to pull off in 48 hours!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad all the amount of pixel art i had to draw paid off! ^^

Cool design and nice choice of weapons and enemies for such a short time frame!

Developer

Thank you so much! I tried to vary the enemies a bit, so I'm glad that paid off!

the controls are a bit stiff...

Developer

Sorry! I was rushing to get the other parts of the game out, and didn't get to polish the controls much, Thanks for playing though!
