Was kind of confused what I was supposed to do, is more rods better or less, or is higher or lower energy threshold better? (I don't really pay attention when movies and other media talk about this kind of thing :)) Also what are the valves in the reactor 2 room for? After reading the book I also immediately spam clicked AZ5 but nothing happened. Other than the unclear instructions, this game has a lot of potential as one of those disaster games where you have to micro manage a bunch of small things, and I really like the art style and the camera movement as you move between rooms. If you improve this game after the jam I'll definitely want to try again

Thanks for the feedback! The whole point is to be confused on what you're meant to do but unfortunately I ran out of time and didnt get to complete the tutorial cutscene that explained how this is your first night on the job with no training; hence the bodged book. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'll definitely be expanding on this idea once the jam ends.

Cool game. It would be nice to just need to hold down on the pipes instead of needing to rapidly click. Overall nice game.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, Ill do that!

Thought nothing was happening for a bit, then it all blew up and I died. No idea what I did or didn't do to cause that. Great game XD

Developer

Thanks for playing! Just curious, what did you do? I didnt get a chance to have anyone play test and I'm not sure if the book is very obvious as a tutorial.  Glad you enjoyed it

Oh, lol, I missed the book at first and ended up turning some valves? Still don't know if that did anything. So I went back and read the book and immediately pressed AZ5 XD Waited a bit, pressing a few other buttons to no avail, then pressed AZ5 again and it immediately blew up. It was fun to have to guess at what was going on in what appeared to be an incredibly complicated machine. I'd recommend making the level smaller, maybe even one room? Or just an upstairs and a downstairs? The fun is in pressing buttons, flipping switches, etc., not the walking around bits.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, Ill definitely compact the map down and add more "clicky" things to do and affect the reactor once the jam lets me edit the submission. And AZ5 only blows up when then power production is less than 200MW, I guess some info on the buttons might have been useful.

You put in so much work, and I can tell, it is cool, but the camera is just so annoying that it isnt fun to play.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah I agree the camera isnt the best, by the time I realized it wasnt gonna work it was too late.

It seems like you might have been able to make the camera  top down easier than what it is now, but hindsight is always 20/20.
