Fun Game, very accurate for the hit boxes and very cool in general, maybe just a little bit empty, it's more than ok for a jam :D

Developer

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the game,

Really awesome! It's incredible you were able to get so many features and so much polish in such a short time!

Developer

Thanks. It was a mixture of no sleep and good teamwork.

I love how absurd this game is. The action gameplay makes it really fun to play. Great job!

interesting concept. I like art. but I feel that I lack background music. nice job.

Developer(+1)

Thank you. You're completely correct, this game needs a track. Not sure if peaceful or intense music would fit the game better though.

Good Idea!

Great concept! But I didn't understand why I should clean up during the battle and maybe it might be better, when the soldiers wouldn't shoot at the janitor. Otherwise there's a conflict between cleaning up (and getting yourself in danger) and just surviving. Many times soldiers would stand around a lot of blood and corpses and I didn't see a reason to risk my (virtual) life to clean that part up. I also think you should show some kind of highscore or progress, to motivate the player to actually clean up (maybe the janitor gets paid by the work they have done and they need a minimum payment). Because of all the lasers, rockets and so on flying around the player would still need to dodge those, but having the soldiers aiming at the player might be to stressful.

Oh, and I love how corpses are bleeding, when you are carrying them around. That is a great effect.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Having the soldiers shoot at the player is something I don't think I'm willing to compromise in the game, but maybe having slower bullets or more player hp would fix the problem you're describing. As for the high score, when the time runs out, the game does give a grade depending on how clean the level is. If I had more time, I would have put the highest score you got in a save file though and displayed that in the level select.

I like the concept, but I was a little bit confused when starting the first level. For about one minute I just ran around and couldn't find anything to clean up. Maybe you could add an indicator, which signals the general direction of spots you have to clean.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. The thing that was supposed to guide you to dead bodies was the stupidly loud and cartoonish death sound each soldier makes when they die. I will agree though that sometimes the soldiers will take awhile to kill each other cause their AI is pretty RNG based. Maybe the game would benefit from killing a random soldier off screen if one hasn't died in the last 20 seconds or something.

Amazing game! the concept of cleaning dead bodies in a war zone instead of fighting is very funny. The attention to detail and polish is really nice. And the gameplay itself is interesting. Good job!

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

The game dosn't work on my machine :(

The menu buttons aren't responding

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Did you use the WASD or Arrow keys? They don't work like traditional buttons that you click with the mouse. It's also SPACE bar or enter to select one.

Oh I see! Thank you. I will try it again

Developer(+1)

Sorry you had trouble with that, I just added a basic control scheme to our game page
