Really well done and creative entry. The powerups are a great addition, but you can make it more clear to the player what effect they have ... I was lucky to have you join the stream so I got more feedback than a normal player.
Love the screen fx, but think you could dial them back just a little bit. Excellent work.
I think there are definitely too many skeletons, and I couldn't figure out how to use the shield. (Maybe it just wears off after a bit?)
I like the art a lot and the screen effect is cool. The music was a good choice as well.
the shield makes it so u don't get hurt but wears off after 5 seconds exactly it auto activates on pick up

The art style is great!
The jumping is a bit weird. Seems to jump only when I'm beneath a hole in the platforms and then very slowly climb up. By then a skeleton gets me. Cute skeletons by the way.
This lives on the side were nice, but they didn't update when I died. Good usage of effects!
i am just go and say this now i was so panicked with putting in a splash screen that my code got hecked and the while loop i put in broke the lives so play the windows better build if u want to see it work plus the lvl 2 that got messed up is there 2 so there is that and yes the climbing is a bit slow and also the original game u can only jump under a hole (i was trying to capture the atair vib) and thanks lol idk if my art was any good but i guess it did the job also thanks for playing
I think this was pretty fun, but the jump animation is really slow, and I'd say the screen effects were a bit overdone, especially since they don't seem to serve any story purpose.
i can see where u are coming from but i wanted to make it like u were playing it on a atair on a crt so it really does not need a story purpose and yes maybe i should speed up the anims a bit but its atair lmao
The bad - a few too many skeletons to try to get past, jump is slow
The good - screen wraps perfectly, the jump animation looks good and its a faithful remake of the original version with some interesting looking differences

Yes you are right, just replayed it, sorry. I was only listening with my right earbud and that didn't have any music come through. I shall update my rating to reflect that
This was cool! I liked the screen effect, it made the game a unique experience. It really gives the player the feeling that they are playing a retro arcade game :)
The effect might be a bit overdone, but the actual game was very well made
