I see that it's a bit difficult to do this theme in rpg maker, soo I think it's a solid idea.
I feel like this could be expanded to not only take the color of the playing card.
So something like Spade always does defence down, but Ace also deals a critical hit etc.
This could lead to a large amount of interesting combinations.
