Really enjoyed playing this! Love the minimalist visuals, and the difficulty level felt very well-tuned. Bonus points for following the theme in a new and interesting way :)

E-E is a super cool concept with great monochromatic graphics and a unique take on the theme, well done! I look forward to checking out more of your work in future jams :)

And if you haven't had a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would appreciate any feedback, thanks!

That's some solid idea, like you know a rhyrm-platformer :D

Developer

Thanks for your comment! Originally the concept of the game was supposed to be a platformer-rhythm but I didn't succeed as the music played before or after the game started.

Nice game!

Fun! Took me a couple of tries to realize the dispensing box was a jump power-up. The "E" timer is an interesting concept; it definitely solidifies the timing. Good work!

Thanks for the feedback! - After the jam for sure I'll fix the power up problem by adding a little tutorial

Simple yet fun to play :D

i was able to beat the game B) finished the 3 levels :3

would be cool to have a Victory scene that tells you finished the game :D

overall, well made !

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the comment! :) - There is a victory screen and it was in level 5 but unfortunately due to my coding error the game doesn't go further than level 3

I'm captivated by the style of your game; the gameplay mechanics are exceptionally smooth, and I had a genuinely enjoyable experience playing it. I hadn't considered implementing the on and off mechanic automatically, as I was under the impression it should be player-controlled. Your game provided a fresh perspective on this aspect. Kudos for the innovative approach!

I really like the timing idea with the E, but I don't understand why I can't pass level 3 even though I reach the exit ( I even tried with the bonus in hand, but it keeps restarting the same level over and over again )...

Other than that, the sound and graphics work well together !

Developer (1 edit)

thanks for the warning, unfortunately i programmed level 3 wrong and that's why you got stuck..

I like it! The sound and music is nice, I always forget to add those. I really got used to the timing after a while.

This is quite a difficult game, but very polished and cool.

I liked it, but it needs to be easier (especially since the mechanic is new to the player). I'd slow down the change interval so I don't feel like I'm on edge just getting through the first level. Keep at it, there's a very strong base here! Nice work.

Developer

Thanks for your advice, I thought the first level was a bit difficult but I didn't manage to modify it in time. I think after the game jam for sure I'll fix it. :)

Neat concept, I think it'd benefit from removing the lives since you restart at the same level anyway.  I'm not a big platformer player, I had a bit of difficulty and the lives made it so I didn't want to try to get further than the second level.

Developer

I understand, thanks for the advice
