How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
I had to quit my first game so I could get it something submitted on time. The feeling reminded me of trying to do homework in college. It's a very unfortunate feeling, being completely unaware you have a mental illness that makes simple tasks far more difficult than they should be. So I threw together a quick VN about my "unlucky" college experience.

That is such beautifully rendered art. Great work!
Congratulations on becoming a father. I wish you the best!
Thank you so much!
Hey everyone, thank you all for the comments. Usually I try to rate and comment everyone’s game that played mine, but on Sunday I became a dad! (Yay!!) And then promptly got taken to NICU to sleep in a chair for 4 days (how’s THAT for unlucky!)
We are home now and everyone is doing well, but I’m going to spend time with my family instead of rating games this year. I’m still hoping to play your games if I ever catch up on sleep. Maybe in a couple years or so 🤷♂️
Now that’s a different kind of clicker game, I like the graphics. I just wish there was a click counter and that the texts stayed on screen a bit longer when you keep clicking.
A very unique and bold submission. I think it did a great job of conveying the experience it aimed to deliver. The inner monologue was well written and quite long, but I think that just made it feel even more real.
Definitely takes me back to my experiences of crashing out hard on the carpet during my college days lol, especially with the battle between the different parts of the psyche. Drags on somewhat, but I guess that is the point?
it was cool to play something in the visual novel style that runs on GB. It was very relatable, the frustrating play added to the narrative, the repetition of the music added to the feeling of being stuck. Definitely one of the more unique games I’ve played for GB.
Nice art and music. Maybe a little too long. Well done on getting a playable submission in.
This was a compelling game, really unique take on unlucky.
very relatable and it benefits from the frank and personal tone. i think it's an interesting look to go for the more 'hand-drawn' look on a gameboy too. I think the sound track is a really nice loop too, it fits the tone of the game well.
always worth not doing the big game over as long as there's still things to do like make tiny gameboy games and playing the tiny gameboy games of others. stick around! our work isnt done here yet! :)
The art really does convey the emotion of what's happening at any give time and it's well rendered.
I do wish there was more interaction or feedback from pressing the button on a more regular basis, but I understand the feeling that it's trying to get across so I can understand the creative choice there.
