Excellent entry to the jam. It was fun messing around with diagonal shots and charging around! I didn't feel that the reduced vision was needed though. Well done!

How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
Adequate resolution and colors, secondary theme respected with frightening 'spooky' music and graphics. + Reduced vision effect.

really niice! i love the clumsy physics actually xd, i just never was able to shoot straight tho!
overall nice game, soundtrack was also good, maybe the game is a bit too "hard"
try also our game!

Great entry! In particular, love the choice of colors. They work really well both to emphasize the "spooky" vibe and to call attention to important in-game objects.
The combat mechanics are really fluid, and fell squarely in that sweet spot of "easy to grasp but hard to master" for me. I also really like the idea of representing entities that take more than one hit to kill (both you and the enemies) by having their extra hit-points float behind them, really creative! I did find it a bit confusing at first when seeing it on an enemy, because it seemed like it would drop a heart when killed, (maybe enemies could use a slightly different sprite for their hit points?) but once it clicked I found it very clever.
Unfortunately the boss of the final stage seemed to get stuck outside the level for me, so I couldn't complete the game. But I really liked what I saw! Nice work!
That was really fun! I was concerned when I realized the entire game, including attacks and pits, was physics-based, but it was really engaging making use of the character's trajectory to shoot enemies. It's also an interesting solution to making a 360 degree attack system with only 8 directions! I especially like the detail that your health just follows you around. Also, the art, character design, and soundtrack are charming and gorgeous!
Fantastic! Great work!
Great game! I had fun playing it and I've almost managed to beat the last boss until those slimes and bulls got me. Although it was frustrating getting to properly hit the enemies. Maybe if the aim wasn't directly with the movement and snapped in 8 directions only, or perhaps the ability to strafe.
The art is very cute and the songs are a bop, that intro theme before the level was my favorite one. Really nailed the gameboy vibes there, congrats to the team!
I didn't managed to launch your game :(
The window just pop and close instantly. Maybe are there some dependencies I don't have?
Wow, I sent the game to at least 20 people, and no one had a problem. I imagine that you are on Windows (maybe 32 BITS if that doesn't work), here is the game in 32-bit version with debug terminal: https://legi-jam.itch.io/tmc-32-bits-debug-version
Ok I managed to launch the game on an other PC!
I like your game, it's beautiful, and the sounds are pretty good. I think you did a great job with the use of the limited color palette. Controlling the character is quite difficult and maybe it lacks visual feedback you get hit, but it's a good game! Well done!
I like it a lot! the controls are really unique, and it was fun to nail enemies with my attack from far away. Great job!!
