Played it a little further now and even beat some of the levels. Really fun mechanics and amazing graphics!

Developer

Glad you liked it! Tried to make some fun mechanics to differentiate the levels

This is one of my top favorites from the gamejam so far! The music is sooo freakin good! I've actually hooked my GBA-SP up to our studio monitors just to get the full range of this awesomeness!! And the game mechanics are really fun and intuitive!

I'm loving the turnip weapon pickups, and it seems all the enemies are all very intelligent! I was amazed at how you had programmed each of their individual "personalities"! For real - this is an absolute gem of a game right here!

I'm looking forward to beating it!

(unless the game beats me......)

Developer

Thank you!

Did the game beat you or did you beat the game?

(1 edit)

I haven't beaten it yet - that darn cornfield level has some weird physics thats just too hard for me to get used to.. I just don't understand whats going on? Is it a bug maybe? Because I have found a bunch of those.. If you want, I could write a little report for you?

Developer(+1)

I’d love a bug report. That would be very helpful

the cornfield level needs a lot of polish but the physics are supposed to be slippery. Ever been in a cornfield? They get very muddy 😀

I’ve got some ideas on how to make the slippery physics better though so I’ll work on that

Love the game at first glance. However, in the Abandoned House I couldn't get up the wall at the left of the bottom. I had the idea you might have to move the jumpy blob to it, but I couldn't pick it up with 'B', because as soon as I got close it bumped me up. Is that a bug or do I have the wrong idea?

Developer(+1)

You're on the right track but you have the wrong idea. Check out the forest level for a clue

It was not so clear what to do, also i couldn't shoot, don't know if there is something i need to pick before shoot. I like the colors and the music, even when it's the same the speed change gives it another feel. Congratulations on this.

Developer(+2)

thanks! You can’t shoot unless you’re carrying a vegetable which you can pick from the ground

Thank you! i will try it later :D

Really great job on this! Love the variety and attention to detail. Impressive use of colour too.
Definitely feels like you're pushing the boundaries of what can be done in GB Studio.

thanks soully! There as engine editing involved so that’s accurate
