Nice work. The level design was solid and I liked the stealth mechanics. Cutscenes were a nice touch too. The lack of sound effects and music did make it feel a bit empty though but I get that was likely a time issue in the Jam. Would be great to see that added in. Overall, a really good job

Developer

Thank you, sfx and another bgm will be added after the jams end.
Thank you for playing!

Nice stealth game (I made a very similar game in a previous jam) with a well-worked story and a decent length for a game jam game. Some sound effects and/or a minimalist score might have really helped sell the immersion, but there's a lot to like otherwise.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for sharing that, I checked out the game and read all the feedback there, as it was pretty useful to be applied here too.  I realize when playing your game, just a bit of SFX does make an impact.

The level design was really nice, i thought the unning animation when running upward was so funny!

Developer

Thank you, most of the assets used were made by Anokolisa, I chose to use them because I like them too, especially the animation, as it was very complete. Thanks for playing!

A lot of good things done here, the level design, cutscenes, story, fighting and stealth mechanics - nice. Its quite hard to hit the guard in the right moment - I died twice together with the guard :) But I guess it is like that when you are not proficient with the sword ;) Great choice to have save-points.

Now, as mentioned before sfx would help a lot and some music probably too, but event this little atmosphere is good to have, so good choice to us it, even if it is basic, that helps. Also - for me the running seems unnecessary - or rather I should say - walking. Maybe we could have run as default and walk as shift modifier, that would be easier on my pinky ;)
And I feel a little metroidvania vibe, thats nice. Was waiting for more items other than sword (but surely, this is not necessarily the scope for a game jam)

Developer(+1)

I tried to make the guard notice you when you are running, so you are supposed to walk while stabbing them from the back, but yeah...a plan that didn't make it in jams, though I make it automatically run when you walk/run for 3 seconds because my pinky know that very well too, lol.
But your suggestion might be better for the jams as it was a short game with no time to know all the mechanics.  Thank you for playing the game & the constructive feedback help a lot!

Good level design, but the graphics are pretty bare and the sound design non-existent. Some SFX and music could have helped a lot.

Developer

Yeah, there's no post-processing done, and the BGM was a last-minute addition due to time constraints. I underestimated how long the level design would take, ended up with everything feeling a bit bland in the end. Thank for the feedback!

Fun game, you got a lot done in the time for this. Great job

Great level design mate! CUTSCENES TOO!? That's a week of work right there! Not to mention the choice of leaving the protagonist bald haha.

I don't know if the game doesn't have sound or it just didn't load for me, but that would have been a nice addition to the game.

Also there's a little bug after killing the knights, their vision cones don't get destroyed.

Overall a good experience!

Developer(+1)

I have prepared the sfx but not implemented it in the game yet because I didn't expect designing the level was going to take most of my time to make this game, so I left it with its BGM only. As for the bug, it's being fixed along with the main menu section.

Thanks for playing & the review!

Hi! Nice 2D dungeon! I viciously killed all the guards! Funny that you're running around as a naked man! Or was I supposed to find clothes like I found the sword?

Developer

Can't help it, the young man prefers going commando.

But for real though, I'm limiting myself to just using the assets provided by sponsors.

Thanks for playing!
