Very cool. The kingdom is lost! ;)

Liked the turn based mechanics and strategy behind the game with the cards, nice job on it!

This is a great strategic game! I really enjoyed playing it and using different cards! The idea is unique and fun, I think you could expand this to a bigger game, why not?!

Great game!

Great game! It's hard to make a complete game in the time frame of a jam, and you did it. It's brutal, for sure, but that fits the theme. The music reinforced the nature of the game play, and the mechanics were easy to understand but not simplistic.
Well done!

Thanks for playing and the kind words.  It is the best game jam game I have ever made so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I liked the game and the game style.  Had a little difficulty initially seeing the cards at the bottom, until I clicked on them, and had difficulty knowing what the enemy was.  Make the info more visual, hp, attack, etc of your team and the enemy would help a lot.  Can you skip cards or have to use them in order? I ran out of points so a lot of rounds was just an end turn.  I didnt survive, lol

Developer

you can choose which card to play by scrolling over them and selecting it.  Once they are played they go in order. The cards are quit Low res when they are small and hard to read, once you select them you should be able to read them.

The stats for the enemies are all there and ready-to-wear be displayed... injust didn't get to it. I wanted to be able to click on the enemy to get more info and potentially have weaknesses to certain enemies to add some more strategy but didn't get to it!

Thanks for playing and your feedback, some great ideas!

Nicely done! Really cool little card battler that was fun and engaging to play! Took a couple of tries, a pretty difficult game, but eventually, I survived and defended the kingdom :D.

Some minor quality of life things could be improved like the cards bug out a bit and maybe even auto end round if you have no points left.
I liked the mechanics and the challenge!

Developer(+1)

there are certainly some ui issues with the cards to tighten up.  The auto end of turn is a good idea... seems obvious now that you said it but I didn't think of it l.

Thanks for playing and great job on defending successfully!

well made game. I am missing an option to lower the volume of the music or turn it off. The round based card system is a lot of fun.

Developer

had an option menu and didn't have time to finish it so took that out, certainly would have been a nice to have.

Thanks for playing.

nice little game!

quality on big screens is a little bad

Developer

yeah, the graphics are pretty low res.  It's really optimized for a 640x480 web window. A big monitor could definitely make it worse.

Really enjoyed it, made it to the last turn before dying :) Great submission

Developer

the last turn is a tough one, takes a little luck and strategy to get through it.

This is so cool! Loved the card mechanics, only thing I would suggest is to balance the turn point system a bit. Otherwise, I thought it was fantastic! Keep up the great work.

Developer

thanks for playing. Definitely could use some balancing,  especially with the randomness of the cards!

I was drawn in! Well balanced - I almost won but satisfyingly lost in the final round. The perfect last stand.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing!
