Very well made game! Short and simple play through. I liked that the filters looked post-apocalyptic fitting the theme of the game really well!
Very well-done game. It reminded me a lot of Half-Life and that terror that engendered at times. I got two of the endings, cause the creature caught me before I made it to the top. Dark ending when you get up there. Really expansive world considering the entire game is on a ladder.
It would have been nice to have controller support.
The story was really good and it was an impressive vignette.
Nuked! Loved the aesthetics and the mechanics. Just missed the jam theme inside the game.
Nice intro and main menu. Great work! Congrats!!
NUKE! Can we reach the top of the tower next time, to me it feels like the on/off switch should be up there. I loved everything else about this game, it has that same claustrophobia vibe as Iron Lung and FNaF 1 I love games like that.
Edit: how do I upvote the damn game? I don't see a button for it.
I will try to update it for hallowin with an alternative ending, I’m not exactly sure how to fit in in the lore but an ending where you survive could be cool.
If you haven’t submitted a game to this game jam you can’t rate the game until the game jam rating period is over, if you remember to come here in 3 days you will be able to rate it XD.
Thanks a lot for trying the game out and I am glad you liked it!
Nuked... I dont remember a tower this tall right next to Raccoon City, but loved it
That would have been a really nice reference, I missed it!
Thanks for trying out the game, I hope you liked it :)
I immediately loved the intro presentation and cutscene, well done in the narration department. By the way, after I opened that blockade when I climbed the ladder, the game just froze. I'll give it another round of playtest and let you know what else I found interesting or any suggestions I want to make.
2nd playtest was successful, I liked the chase scene when I climbed higher on the ladder even though I didn't know what the throw input was and the monster ate me after I got stuck at the blockade above. This game is just mwah, a chef's kiss.
I’m glad you liked it! Thanks a lot for your kind words.
There isn’t a specific input to throw the antennas, you have to unscrew them from the tower with the screwdriver. I should have made that more obvious somehow, I will definitely take that into consideration. Thanks! I will try your game later today
Cool! Good Job
Wow how do you do cutscenes like that??? Very nice climatic and scary game!
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it.
If you are using unity, the intro cutscene was made with the timeline tool turning on and off different cameras and objects with animations and sounds. The chase cutscene was just a hardcoded camera swap using cinemachine. Hope that helps you!
Yeah I will learn from this example, thanks :)
Really cool vibe, atmosphere and look to this game. I like the intro cutscene too, great work there. The controls are intuitive, I like that when i tried to interact with the cat it purred too. The chase is tense, and well judged for difficulty, and i can appreciate the level of care that went into some of the details in the game.
I found the ending a bit anti-climactic (strange to say about a nuke explosion i know) but otherwise an enjoyable experience for sure.
The game could do with some optimization though, as there were some quite bad frame drops at times, I tried changing the graphics settings which then caused the game to crash. I reloaded and tried again, and the medium setting seemed to run smoothly enough, but the game did crash again just after showing the end screen.
Some really good work here though. Nice one!
I have no idea why it crashes on some PCs, I tried to fix it multiple times but it’s really hard to do because it doesn’t crash on mine, so I’m never sure if it is fixed or not 😢
The ending sure is anti-climactic as I had to rush it and couldn’t explain nor deliver it properly.
I’m glad you could enjoy it anyways and thanks a lot for your honest review!
this deserves 1st
I don’t think so, there are a loooot of really cool games on this jam. But thanks for your kind words <3
I've played about 50 now, and this has been the most enjoyable for me! Don't play yourself down, you have a shot!
Amazing work! Very cool game
I’m glad you liked it! Thanks for giving it a try
WOAH! The aesthetics are amazing and the atmosphere is insanely enticing.
Amazing work! =D
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it <3
I was playing your game before but wanted to comment/rate after finishing it, but I’m to dumb to finish the level with the 2 black, 2 white mirrors and 2 pressure plates😭
How many levels am I missing? If it is the last one I absolutely need to figure it out lol10/10 all acrosss the board. What a journey. Simplistic yet genious and atmospheric. Great stuff. Attention to details is amazing, even the menu screen and settings in a wire box. The only slight issue is optimization, but I guess it's a lot to ask from this quality of a game made on such short notice. After all you even made graphics presets which is super nice for low-end setups <3
Thanks a lot for your kind words! You made me really happy.
I’m glad you could enjoy it. Also, your game looks cool, I’m gonna try it right now
I did forget to press record for this one 🥲
Very fun short horror, with atmosphere, and a chase at the end which did take a few tries haha. Also differnet achievements too. Highly recommended.
Thanks a lot for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it <3
I love the atmosphere! Good spooky game for this jam
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
I also really liked your game
wow this game is really atmospherecal. highly recommanded!
Thanks a lot for giving it a try! I'm glad you liked it
It's really good, I liked the visual, the gameplay is also quite good.
Thanks! I focused on the visuals a lot, so it makes me really happy to hear that
That was a pretty good game. I hear others having issues with crashing but I didn't experience any crashing, or flickering but maybe thats just because I played really well and beat the game fairly quickly; too quick to experience any gamebreaking bugs. I did play on the linux version though, and only problem I found was there were some missing textures I think? Seemed like there were two places where there were holes in the world, like It was bright pink or something (not sure, I'm colorblind). Other than that, It was a bit sluggish on the default graphics settings so I just played on Potato mode.
Potato mode looks horribly bad 😅.
But if it didn't ran well on the other settings I'm glad you could play it and enjoyed it on potato mode!
Thanks for giving it a try
Unfortunately, it kept crashing on me.Will check out again at another time.
I have no idea what’s causing the crashes, it happened to others as well.
Sorry for the inconvenience 😢
It's fine. From what Itch told me, it had something to do with a disconnect, and the game was literally making my lamp light twitch. lol
You can still edit the game to fix any bugs!
How the f was it making your light twitch wtf, extra spooky I guess lol.
I would love to fix it but I literally have no idea what is causing it, I get 0 errors on the editor and it never crashes for me
idk. lol It was making my computer chug, and if it was what caused my lights to flicker, then it must have been super resource heavy.
