Cool game! I loved the light mechanic and got stuck during the white mirrors area. It took me so long that I got an OOM error. I think the game might have a memory leak? Not sure, the tab was using nearly 3 GB of memory, but the game was cool!

That was a pretty good game. I hear others having issues with crashing but I didn't experience any crashing, or flickering but maybe thats just because I played really well and beat the game fairly quickly; too quick to experience any gamebreaking bugs. I did play on the linux version though, and only problem I found was there were some missing textures I think? Seemed like there were two places where there were holes in the world, like It was bright pink or something (not sure, I'm colorblind). Other than that, It was a bit sluggish on the default graphics settings so I just played on Potato mode.

I don't know if I'm just bad or what but I can't seem to get more than like 5 candy corns x_x

Here are some things that could improve the difficulty:

- Instead of pumpkins keeping you stuck until the mob gets you, make it so you can get out after a little bit (or lower the amount of time you're stuck if that's already the case )

- Make the candy corns moving towards you have a larger radius from when they start moving

- Make obstacles move slower; currently the character is a bit too slow for my liking  compared to how quickly the level moves around you

Also, the Red text on the static is very hard to read

Now for some things I liked:

- I love the use of the TV asset to play a game within a game

- I like the little animations of you and your friends before that giant mob comes after you

- I like the scanline effect on the TV

- I like how the game ends by abruptly cutting to static like it loses connection on those older Antenna TVs

I just finished watching the Ultimate Introduction to Godot and thought that it'd be a nice little challenge to see what I've learned by making my first ever game also be my very first game jam! I've tried game development before but I've never been as motivated to finish what I started until now, and I have been missing out. Creating this game has been some of the most fun I've had in recent time. I liked solving problems in my game and now the result is something everyone can try!

Here's the itch page if anyone wants to play it

Be critical! I love to learn and improve!
