Ok, the visuals are good and the pixel art is really cool.
Sound effects were nice and the music was right in the theme of the game.
Gameplay wasn't super enjoyable for me though, but maybe you guys made it hard on purpose and I just suck haha, but I didn't like that he would jump on his own if I forgot the space bar down, that along with the enemies being hard to kill even though the lava is so fast that there would be almost no time to interact with them, and some fireballs they would randomly throw that blinked my screen and threw me out of the platforms made it feel quite hard to control.
Really cool procedural generation! I would maybe consider tweaking the platform placement just a little though, I died a bunch because of hitting my head on a higher platform when trying to jump, either that or the tone down the jump power, Im not sure.
But overall, this is quite cool, good job!
Enjoyed the frenetic pace of the game. I had a bit of difficulty with the enemies being placed right along the edge of the platforms I am jumping to, and more often than not, I’d get sandwiched under them or bouncing around them. That was probably my number one killer since it just wasted time while the magma was rising. I did end up playing the game quite a bit, since I enjoy these “just one more time” kind of games.

Love the fast pace! You've create a solid challenge that still has an achievable rhythm to it. Music and art is super cool and creates a nice consistent aesthetic. I am a sucker for anything procedural, especially when the result works this well (the platforms always being within jumpable distance etc). great work
Thanks for the positive review! I’m really glad that you enjoyed our procedural generation, it went through a lot of different phases before we made something that actually allowed the player to go on infinitely without hitting roadblocks. I’m glad you enjoyed our game:)
I like the Icy Tower vibe to this game - it's plenty hard, too 😁
Technical-wise a keyboard-only option would be nice - I'm playing on a laptop, which made maneuvering the character with mouse extra difficult; it also looks like the game doesn't support resizing its viewport (be it through resizing the window or just going fullscreen), which adds extra difficulty-points on 4k screens (since the game window takes like 1/10th of my physical screen area 😅).
I'm glad you liked the game! I will consider adding a keyboard only button settup. I could also add the fullscreen option but it breaks some of our game code and make the background mess up. But if that allows more people to play, then I will :)
This game is hard!! Great fun though.
This game is very fun, the idea is also good, but player's movement is too fast, i struggled a lot to survive in the first seconds

Quite a neat game. The graphics and sounds quality was really quite good.
I struggled with the controls for a bit, but when I got used to them the game was quite intense!

The idea is cool.
The controls are a bit hard, I prefer using Left/Right keys. And since you cannot play in Full Screen, sometimes when I press Space it jumps to the bottom of the page and I don't see the game anymore.
Maybe you could start with slower levels and gradually make it harder?

Try to slow down the lava rising and increment the speed while playing
yes, we do agree the speed of everything working together could have been tweaked a lot more, sadly we ran out for f time and had to submit it, thx for playing;)

The game is fun, I like the audio design, the fast pace of the game, and the fact that you can push away enemies in the lava. However, I have a bad time walking on slope-platforms because the player character slows down on them and feel like lava can rise too fast, even though I was far away from it.
By the way, what happened to the player shield sprite? Give the other half of it back to the players, hehe :)
In overall, I can see your game releasing on a mobile platforms with some polish of the graphics and gameplay (maybe use shield to push enemies or block projectiles). Good job!
Thanks for the positive review! I do agree with you: the speed and flow of our game could have used more work… we ended up barely finishing the game’s base mechanics right as the jam ended. Art wise, we got pretty behind so had to make do with what we had, but I’m happy that you can see potential in our game ;)
The game is fun but could use some more graphics on those magmas and more audio would be nice. Personally, I think the enemy and combat system are kinda out of place.
