We wanted moons to be a major mechanical device in the game, and a main feature of a moon, is that it orbits!
After building an orbit system, it became clear we wanted the "shot" part to be an action that some moons can take.
We ended up with a tower defense game with orbiting towers.

I thought this game was very innovative, a creative take on tower defence and I liked how everything is orbiting something, that must’ve been fun to code! It took me a while to figure out how purchasing/placement worked, I’m not sure what I expected, but once I understood it it was pretty easy to use. I like the way the UI looks like old technology far away in space!
You did a good job with your visuals. All the game art and UI looked great.
Audio was well done, I think the "space noise" you had playing in the background was effective.
Cool game, impressed you made it in only a few weeks :)
Great job!
The art was good and the sound was good when there was some. I like the concept too but wished it could have been more interactive, like deploying moons and weapons while the attack was happening rather than having to sit and wait for the attack to be over to do anything. It was also very annoying that as soon as I went over my credit limit, the game was instantly over. So, that "feature" needs to go!
100% agree. it should just not let you buy it if its too expensive. We just ran out of time.
Thanks a lot for playing, and for your feedback! Super helpful
Cool game concept and art. I like tower defense games, but couldn't figure this one out. I tried several combinations of moon orbits and weapons, but never made it past the first wave. The weapons either missed or were mostly out of range.
Thanks for playing, we appreciate the feedback!
You need to invest in a very close-orbiting moon with a few missile turrets. Since the only way to lose is to hit $0, making sure no enemies will stay on the surface of the planet for very long is priority!
Something like this should keep you pretty safe!
The game is extremely slow on my computer (I guess its lag, not the actual speed of it, I am using Firefox on Linux), and the missiles almost always miss their target. This made it almost unplayable for me unfortunately. I will thus not rate it for the moment (as it would not be representative of your game I think), but if you have an idea about why it may be so slow and how to solve this, I would be more than happy to give it another try and then rate it as I am strongly attracted by the arts and the general idea of your game.
I'm not sure why it would be running slow. Sorry about that. Not sure how to fix it. Try chrome or another pc :/
Thanks for being interested in the game though.
It depends on how the moon is rotating and how the missile turret is moving relative to that if a missile will hit, relative velocities, and all. Usually, i need ~2 moons near oribt and 4-5 missile turrets by wave 2 to survive.
Cheers!
Nice take on the theme and pretty addictive gameplay! Really enjoyed planning my defenses and then watching them go to work.
A fast-forward option would have been nice. A lot of tower defense games add that to help with the "downtime" of just watching your towers. The audio effects were good but would have liked some audio for the missile impacts as well. And I didn't really understand how the laser tower was supposed to help if they only shot their own moon :(
Overall great game! I could see this being a great mobile game, very simple controls but very addictive gameplay.
Really nice tower defense. I'm still struggling to get the gist of it, since it is very hard to plan with the moons constantly rotating. Very fun and original, nevertheless.
That's so nice of you, thanks! Ive found that spending money early on a close-orbiting moon to be worth it :)
As a Tower Defense fan I liked the orbit thing in this one!
i dig the take on the tower defense idea. i did die once when i bought too much over my limit
yeah, if you put yourself into debt you die haha. Hope to add in "cancel purchase" after the voting period for the jam is done.
